Good riddance to you and the rest of the Socialist enablers.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
- Samuel Adams, 1776
It is a bit silly to call those who want to defeat Obama with the GOP nominee “socialists” or socialist enablers.
Because some people apparently can tell Jim Rob “FU” which seems refreshing to have such freedom, I will take the liberty of expressing my opinion.
I get the distrust and dislike of Romney, which comes from his record as Mass. governor. He either is or was a liberal, or he did whatever it took to get elected in the most liberal state. That is not a record to impress conservatives.
He did oppose the dem legislature a lot and he was more conservative than a dem there but still he was way too liberal for us as governor. Pro abortion, Romneycare, etc.
However, the scary part of the Romney hatred here is pretending that Romney has not been pushing a conservative platform in this election, and that he ran to the right of McCain last time, as well.
If you listen to any Romney speech, it is a conservative speech front to back. It is a speech no one on FR can dislike IF you read only the speech and I tell you Gingrich or Reagan gave it.
So then it comes down to that Romney is a liar. All politicians are liars. Romney has shown himself to be a chameleon.
But this is where the Romney haters leave me behind: Their conviction that he is 100% liberal, that despite everything he is running on, he will run as a conservative, get in office and support Obamacare, abortion, etc.
There does come a point where you have to read the candidates’ positions, and to do so and then reach the conclusion that Romney’s policies would match Obama’s is far fetched at best.
You don’t have to like him, you don’t have to trust him, don’t have to vote for him but yes, Barack Hussein Obama is worse. And the platform of a major party candidate means something (as does his record).
