KNOXVILLE (WATE) - LeMaricus Davidson pleaded guilty Wednesday to robbing a Pizza Hut a day after the Christian-Newsom murders, in which he faces a second trial.
Davidson, who had a felony record, could receive eight years for the robbery. He pleaded to charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and possession of gun.
He will serve his term concurrent with whatever sentence he's expected to receive for the slayings of Channon Christian and her boyfriend, Chris Newsom.
The couple was carjacked on January 7, 2007, taken to Davidson's rental house, tortured and killed, according to investigators. Davidson is again facing the death penalty in the case.
He and three defendants were previously convicted in the cases, but the verdicts were thrown out in December by Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood. The action followed a guilty plea to official misconduct by presiding Judge Richard Baumgartner.
Davidson robbed a Pizza Hut on N. Broadway on January 8, 2007. He was scheduled to go to trial beginning Monday.
The new trials for Davidson, Letalvis Cobbins, George Thomas and Vanessa Coleman are slated to start this summer.
Blacks would rather whites end up dead from blacks attacking them than defend themselves and kill a black attacker.
I’m sure Obama, Sharpton, Holder, and Jackson will be all over this.
Gosh, will the President be calling the families of these slain young people? [/END SARCASM]
It’s so often in life where I say, “I’m going to kill” so-and-so or, “I’d like to strangle that jerk”.
You know what I’m saying: it’s always intended as wry hyperbole.
But every once in a while, something makes you sit and think about killing: “Could I literally take a life?” ... “In what circumstance would I?”
This case makes me think that. Every time. I know that if I would have walked in the door and caught these people doing what they did - and I had the means at hand - I’d calmly kill them all.
This case is really the only one that doesn’t involve a horrific crime against a child that makes me think that.
Oh...and the murder of Jennifer Daugherty. That one...that one almost makes me cry.
You and me both Psycho_Bunny. I can’t believe the others convictions were thrown out. HA! Maybe their new trials will put them in the death house. They should have been sent there in the first place. This is one of the most horrible things I’ve ever heard. I think about it constantly and like you, I’d kill all of them without batting an eye and not feel one bit of regret. I guess I ought to pray about that.
Oh I’m sure our color blind prez has called these parents.....the murderers parents that is.....:(
Sorry Dawg and Bunny, Tennessee death row is nothing but a retirement home. They might die in prison, but it will most likely be of old age. This ain’t Texas
Damn lucky he only robbed them.
dittos! I would have no qualms being the one who executed these psycho killers
SDWW (Self Defense While White) is not a hate crime.
Like Kalifornia, eh? :) Sometimes here in the great state of Texas giving final justice to these vermin takes too long also. Like the gang member who was part of a killing party back in 1993 just got the needle last year. That was waaaay too long to keep that demon breathing.
"SDWW (Self Defense While White) is now a hate crime."
There. Fixed.
We are apparently about to find out whether us “Crackers” and “Honkeys” will be allowed the right of self defense against “commander zero’s” “civilian defense force” and his mau mau campaign for reelection.
Probably. Doubt they’ll have the stones to try it here in NC. Lots of good ol’ boys.....lots of guns. It’d be messy.
I would add the animal who raped and murdered the wife, and beat and attempted to murder the husband, of the elderly couple in Tulsa. I wouldn’t kill him quickly either.
