Actually, at this point I would like to see someone introduce a bill to outlaw communism in the US (essentially re-introducing the communist control act of 1954) - labeling it subversive. Force the leftists out in the open to defend their philosophy.

Actually, at this point I would like to see someone introduce a bill to outlaw communism in the US (essentially re-introducing the communist control act of 1954) - labeling it subversive. Force the leftists out in the open to defend their philosophy. From around that same era was the "Minute Women" organization, which was very active in Texas, in particular the Houston area. They exposed Communism at all levels, particularly in the government-run public schools. They were so effective that teachers and top-level administrators were fired from the HISD for their Communist ties. These American Patriots not only had the reds on the run but were also strongly opposed to union thuggery, illegal immigration, socialized medicine and a meddling federal government.
