I have no useful speculation at this point. She might simply announce a timetable, or she might deliver the conclusion of her investigation.

Means he won’t be charged.

"Within 72 hours" means by Friday night. If she decides to do the right thing and leave him alone, it will be a hot weekend.
To: Cboldt
If she was going to charge him I believe she’d say so now. Why give Mr. Zimmerman a 3 day head start?

Ben Crump, an attorney for Martins family, said they are worried that Zimmerman might flee if he is charged. Were just concerned that nobody knows where he is at. Nobody knows how to get to him, Crump said.
Interesting choice of words

If, as I have seen reported, Zimmerman is a dim lib then there is no downside to this affair. Rejoice and be glad.

Not necessarily.
It just means she has enough evidence to make a decision. It could still go either way.

If he's lawfully used deadly force in self defense, the downside to charging him is capitulation of the law to the will of the mob.

“Why give Mr. Zimmerman a 3 day head start?”
Either because he’s already gone or because she’s watching him and hoping he’ll make his case worse by running.
To: dewawi
Doubtful. I think they will charge him because they are under orders to charge him. Obama wants riots. Can’t have riots if there isn’t a big splashy trial with a not-guilty verdict (think Rodney King).
I heard that Zimmerman has gone into hiding and is no longer being represented by his attorneys. I think that is wise. There is no way the state could guarantee his safety, even if he was in custody, and there is no way he could get a fair trial under the current political climate.

I still need someone to explain to me how the State of Florida, or the Feds for that matter, can proceed without empaneling a Grand Jury. Unles they are going to charge Zimmerman with something other than “a capital or otherwise infamous crime”, like a misdemeanor, a Grand Jury is a Fifth Amendment right.

Considering how long this “investigation” is taking I would say that they are going to make up some charges just to placate the diverse racists.

A GJ is only required for a Federal matter. That part of the 5th Amendment hasn’t been incorporated to the States yet.

His black friend, Owens was asked if we would hear there was a struggle over the gun. He said “I think you just may be hearing about that.” I bet they did some tests on the gun.

I was under the impression that a capital crime is one that carries the death penalty, like 1st degree murder, which I don't think anyone, even the most anti-Zimmerman folks, believes will be the charge.
Pure speculation. Maybe she has toxicology results on Martin. I haven't found her release yet, but the media reports that it says "new information."
