Newt Gingrich Issues Statement on Santorums Departure, Tells Mike Huckabee Hell Finally Get to Be 1-on-1 With Romney
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was just on the Mike Huckabee Radio show, and commented on Santorum suspending his own presidential campaign just moments ago. On the show, Gingrich discussed finally getting to be 1-on-1′ with Romney, how he will campaign going forward, and a possible debate in North Carolina with the current front-runner.
Below are some highlights from Huckabees interview with Gingrich:
I did not get a heads up in advance. We have been talking for two weeks, and I knew this was a real possibility in his mind. I do know that he had begun to realize that when you are up against all of Wall Street, it is very difficult. The money machine makes it difficult to have a competitive race.
I am not focused on going after Romney; I want to focus on the issues and Barack Obama. I will admit it was a slugging match in Florida; people who like me dont want me down in the gutter. We will see what Governor Romney decides. I am going to focus on the Republican platform and why Obama is a grave threat to this country.
Our folks are making calls to undecideds and those for Rick [Santorum]; we have been talking to someone in North Carolina, and there may be a debate [...] between Romney and me. I would like to have an open dialogue just the two of us, a chat.
Here is the full statement released by Gingrichs press secretary:

I wouls say a gingrich-Romney debate should be MANDATORY at this point
And Romney is a Coward if he doesn’t
It would be a nice preview for Gingrich-Obama debates, which would be like a blood sport, and I would pay money to see that
How about Gingrich challenge Obambi to a debate right now for $1million dollars- winner take all, loser drops out of the race
Too bad little Ricky didn’t drop out a couple months ago. At this point Newt would have to win over 80% of the remaining delegates to get the nomination. Even with half of Santorum’s delegates he would need 75%. It just isn’t going to happen. I’m afraid were stuck with Myth.
ABO.

Rick has waged a remarkable campaign. His success is a testament to his tenacity and the power of conservative principles.
I am committed to staying in this race all the way to Tampa so that the conservative movement has a real choice. I humbly ask Senator Santorums supporters to visit Newt.org to review my conservative record and join us as we bring these values to Tampa. We know well that only a conservative can protect life, defend the Constitution, restore jobs and growth and return to a balanced budget.”
Obie-Newt, you are our only hope!
Glad he is staying in.
And c’mon Mittens, let’s see a real debate between you and Newt. You’re the only one who needs the practice.
It’s practically impossible to access Newt.org. His traffic must be huge.
If there is a way forward, it will be by conservatives lining up behind Newt NOW.
We are left with THREE remote threads of hope.
1. NEWT WILL NOT SUSPEND
2. CONVENTION UPSET (for ABR)
3. RICK THROWS IN WITH NEWT, NOT ROMNEY
Rollins was FOX News with Shep Smith saying Romney was getting ready to drop 9 million in a devestating ad against Rick (finally giving him the Gingrich treatment); an ad that could not be disputed for its voracity. It was to be a video of Rick losing PA by 18 points and why he lost it.
Rollins was in a visible snit, when informed by Smith that Newt was not suspending.
YEA!!! The old giant is not going down on his own, BG.
Rush alluded to something happening with the nomination because of how the Establishment has acted — then backed away, saying he wasn’t ready to expand on that yet.
“...I [Gingrich] did not get a heads up in advance...I do know that he had begun to realize that when you are up against all of Wall Street, it is very difficult...
What does the average person on the street think the above means? If they think this is about money and power, that isn’t far off the mark. But it is far more than that, much more.
Romney and Wall Street are Globalists. They care not a wit for conservative values. First and foremost, they see themselves as world citizens, responsible for maintaining peace and security world-wide through the commerce of international conglomerates. For their businesses security, the U.S.military provides global-wide presence so “U.S. interests” are protected in the Third World.
Unfortunately, that military is paid for by the tax revenue paid by U.S. citizens and staffed by their sons and daughters; many of those citizens no longer have jobs, as those have mostly been moved offshore by the above mentioned world citizens.
Though socialists, they don’t care about the rights of individuals. The common man, or woman, on the street is just a unit to be taxed or obliterated, it matters not to them.
The last thing that Globalists want is for conservatives with Bibles and guns asserting their God-given rights and demanding that Washington, D.C., changes how it does business.
Washington is broken, it doesn’t work the way it is supposed to and Newt Gingrich said, if elected, he will work to change the way Washington does business. You better believe the elitists who feed off the corpse of Uncle Sam are terrified he will be elected.
You sure sound like a bitter Salamander Supporter... Lots of anger towards the man who was soundly beating your candidate, and who didn’t flip-flop as your candidate has.

Thank you for your support!
With the race down to Willard and Newt the best move is for Rick to call on Sarah and Perry, perhaps another to coalesce into a campaign for Newt. With the various factions of the conservatives and republicans coming together they can thwart the undercurrent of the go-pees presumption of Willard is the winner.
Picture Newt, Santorum, Palin and Perry together on a campaign stage beating up on Hussein Obama.
Willard’s mealy mouth approach will wither and fade behind the roar of the cheering crowds.
.
I don’t know if I imagined it, but I remember way back at the beginning of the primaries, Newt said he was ticked about the smear ads that Mitt was putting out. He said he was going to “talk” to Rick about it.
Does anyone remember that?
I still get to vote for Newt in New York's primary on the 24th, then. I imagine Romney will win it, but delegates are awarded by Congressional District so Gingrich could pick up more than a few, especially in rural upstate.
Seek help ASAP.
Thanks for F$(&ing America again Santorum. Jackass.
