Sawing off the barrel of a Mini-14 could theoretically affect functioning. It would change the pressure curve by at least some amount.
Probably would still work but it is at least something to consider, even if it was legal.
Concur. However, an SBR Mini 14 still functions just fine.... At 10.5 inches, with or without a supressor, it still works rather well with a stock diamter gas port, better with it opened a bit. Accuracy? Tha tis another issue which mini14s are not noted for .
