Hi.
Giant Ping List.
bttt
to all: as you may have seen on FR Rush will probably be changing stations in Philadelphia soon. Supposedly his syndicator Premiere is pulling him off WPHT AM 1210 in favor of a “new station” and speculation is that WKDN FM 106.9
will soon change to a talk format.
WKDN used to be owned by Family Stations (Harold Camping) but is being sold to Merlin Broadcasting. Word is that WKDN is
now building new studios and supposedly the lineup will include a local morning host then Beck, Rush, Hannity etc.
We don’t know a date yet when this will happen but will keep
you informed.

>>Much is being speculated about what Randy Michaels plans to do at WKDN-FM (106.9) in Philadelphia, especially after the announcement that CBS owned WPHT-AM lost Rush Limbaugh. Most syndicated agreements with affiliates include a 90-day opt-out and it appears that’s what happened at WPHT. The CBS Corporate office provided Radio Ink with this statement last night, “Premiere recently notified WPHT they will be syndicating Rush Limbaugh on a new station in Philadelphia. As a result, we are pleased to be able to now showcase Michael (Smerconish), who is a well-known and acclaimed broadcaster in Philadelphia, in this new time period.” When Smerconish is moved to the new time period is “to be determined.”
>>Smerconish was already airing on WPHT after Rush’s program. It’s also important to note that both Sean Hannity and Glen Beck are not on in Philadelphia. Both left the market in late 2010. A likely scenario for WKDN-FM, following a local morning show, could be for Michaels to land the conservative trifecta of Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck on his Philly FM. The move puts Limbaugh on an FM signal in Philadelphia which, little by little, is where a lot of news and talk stations are migrating to try to draw in the younger demos. This also guarantees the show would not be bumped by any Philadelphia Phillies games.
Michaels would only say to us last night that more details about the station would be coming “soon.”
The letter writer hints that the reason Holder won't do anything is because the NBP are black.

Thanks for the ping.
Amazing how much glee there is in the MSM about station changes. How little they know ...

He spent the night last night, got permission to skip school today and his grandmama took the day off.
happy feet, I got happy feet....happy feet ta da ta da da d a
Happy Birthday to your grandson!
What are you planning to do today to celebrate?
There was a similar reaction here in Pittsburgh a few years back when Rush chose to leave the venerable KDKA and go to the new FM News Talk 104.7.
Absolutely the right move in hindsight. 104.7 is a consistently solid performer with Quinn and Rose, Beck, Hannity and Savage. KDKA at this stage has been reduced to “Tradio” and “Ask The Veterinarian”. People much younger than me can’t even find AM on their dials anymore.
Must be true if it’s in the ComPost.
AM radio is practically dead.
Ironically, it was Rush and talk radio that helped rescue it from total extinction back in the late 80s.
I’m gonna take him to Denny’s...then putt puttin then I’m gonna boil and eat him
Bad grampa!
It puts the lotion in the basket, it does this when ever it’s told.
Great choice given the political atmosphere of the day.
