The M61A2 gun system is a six-barrel Gatling gun. It has a
closed-loop rotary feed and can fire as many as 6,000 rounds a minute I always find these cyclic rate of fire calculations to be unrealistic and amusing. On the F-22, the capacity is 480 rounds, or about 5 seconds worth of rounds. Because of these numbers, these gatling guns are almost always fired in very small bursts, relatively speaking,
