TULSA — Several members of the Tulsa chapter of the NAACP gathered at a north Tulsa church Friday evening for an emergency meeting to discuss what police have characterized as a possible "shooting spree" that targeted five people early Friday morning.
As news spread that the police are looking for a white man in connection with the shootings of five black people, people began saying they believe the shootings were racially motivated.
KRMG spoke with Tulsa City Councilor Jack Henderson as the meeting continued in the 2200 block of N. Peoria Avenue.
When asked if people in the community felt that the shooter or shooters were deliberately targeting black people, he replied "yes, absolutely."
He told KRMG the "word on the street is that this person would drive up to people walking, ask for directions, and when they would turn away, walk away, begin firing. That's truly a concern, and anybody would be (ill) at ease if you knew this was going on."
He added that "I've talked to the Mayor, and the Mayor assures me that the city is on top of this. The police chief, I've talked to him, they have a lot of people that are on this case, they'll be working around the clock."
Henderson said he urges anyone with information to come forward, and in the meantime he wants people to be careful. Also, he definitely wants to avoid any sort of vigilantism.
"Don't go out late at night walking by yourself, until these people are apprehended. We need to be careful, and we don't want anybody to go out and do any vigilante-type stuff either. Let the police do their jobs."

When I worked in Tulsa in the early 70s I was interviewing an old Black guy. After the forms were completed we were just having a pleasant chat when the subject somehow came up about the Tulsa race riots back in the 30s, I think.
He said he was a young man at the time and was on his way from Muskogee to Tulsa when another Black man stopped him and told him to go back.
White mobs had responded to a Black mob and were killing Blacks on sight. He said the bodies were literally stacked in heaps. A lot of White people were killed too.
Probably the worst race riot in U.S, history.

The mainstream media is wall-to-wall Trayvon Martin, but I only heard of the Tulsa home-invasion rape/murder case from conservative talk radio. The rest of the media is totally silent. You have to do a diligent search to find anything about it on the Internet.
On Friday afternoon detectives went back to the neighborhoods where the shootings occurred to speak to residents again, Walker said. Detectives were working through tips and leads they had received and were able to discern that a white man driving a white pickup might have been involved.
No further descriptions of any suspects were available.
The NAACP Tulsa president, the Rev. Warren Blakney Sr., said Friday night that “we’re very concerned” that someone was evidently “targeting black people to shoot.”
“I’m on edge for my people,” Blakney said at a meeting at the North Peoria Church of Christ, 2217 N. Peoria Ave.
When asked if he believed the shootings were racially motivated, Blakney said that when there are reports that someone “systematically shot black folk, what is one left to believe?”
Or maybe Obama's friend William Ayers.
More likely some Hispanic MS-13 gang-banger retaliating over something or other.

Have a few more incidents occur Barry would have every excuse for declaring martial law and ripping us off of our freedoms. Just in time for the elections no doubt. These people have to be stopped.
No shooter suspect has been identified. No statements of someone white and driving a white pickup actually doing the shooting have been mentioned...only that the vehicle and person were seen. There's a big difference. As a matter of fact another vehicle, a gray Yukon, has also been mentioned.
BTW, I'm local to Tulsa and have been following is situation since early Friday morning.

As you imply, the likely motivation for a white to kill random blacks would be anger over the fatal attack on the elderly white couple. Relations between Americans of all descriptions are rapidly spiraling out of control. Anger is the dominant emotion and is fanned by race baiting demagogues. No one is interested in solving any problems, they want to capitalize on discord and amp up the hatred.
For the black community to constructively address black on black crime, they would have to come to grips with the hip hop gangsta culture and that just isn’t going to happen. The number of committed white racists is comparatively small but growing. I don’t have much hope for the future, particularly with this populist/socialist/racist president who plans on riding discord for four more years of power (maybe more).
If racial incidents do not occur, they will be instigated. If they still do not occur, they will be staged. This is part of a rat conspiracy to energize their base to the voting booth--and beyond if necessary. They will do whatever is necessary to retain power.
Oh, you’re stuck on “what he says” (qutes) and not “what he does”. Has record Black unemployment improved? Schools? Crime in the hood? I think O is furious that his captive minions have not yet taken to the street in masse. He treats them with benign neglect. Takes them for granted. Probably does not like them very much and treats them with disdain. His college homies were Muslims and now powerful rich guys (Soros) or anti-American Nation of Islam Preachers (Farrakhan and Wright). He has a really conflicted self-identity (on many fronts)
All of those problems you cite are manifestations of a pathological black culture, not any “neglect” on the part of Obama.
I will agree that he is USING blacks as a means to further his own personal and Marxist agenda.
