WOW. Look, I respect that Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski values her moderate reputation, that she’s a kind person who seeks to facilitate conversation across the aisle, that she doesn’t want to offend her friends who are Democrats, but c’mon. She’s going to provide cover for Democratic rhetoric that Republicans are waging a “war on women”? Oh, I’m sorry, excuse me. Murkowski didn’t say Republicans are “waging a war.” She said they’re “making an attack.” Honestly, I can’t even figure out who she’s pandering to, other than to Democrats. From HuffPo:
“It makes no sense to make this attack on women,” she said at a local Chamber of Commerce luncheon, according to theHomer News. “If you don’t feel this is an attack, you need to go home and talk to your wife and your daughters.” She also said that she would continue to support funding for Planned Parenthood, adding that the courts have affirmed a legal right to an abortion and she stands by that. …
Murkowski, however, voted for the failed Blunt Amendment last month along with all but one Republican, which would have allowed employers to refuse to cover contraception or any other health service for moral reasons. She later said she regretted her vote and wouldn’t do it again if she had the chance.

She was the needle that broke the camel’s back in the TEA party takeover in 2010. The Senate Re-election parasites schooled her to run Independent to bury Joe Miller, with the promise they’d take her back into the fold after her ‘independent’ bid which used extreme voter fraud to get AK RATS to GOTV to keep her seat.
As with all the Obama outrages, the GOP runs a lemon cream pie as candidate against him. Obama hands them issues on a plate and the GOP lets him blow it off with nonsense.
Example, the birth control and abortion mandate for all employers who purchase health insurance for employees, even religious institutions that have a valid religious objection against these baby-killing measures.
The Catholics and other major faiths object and Obama uses disinformation to spin it into a war against his liberal women base. It is not a war against women as all these measures are freely available outside any particular employer’s health plan. What is ignored is the First Amendment stating no religion shall be harassed by government with taxes or acts to the extent that religion’s faith is required to caste aside its beliefs. This is a major attack on religion. Meanwhile, all our candidates but Gingrich fell into the trap.
Ahh, the desperate need to have the Statists love us. So much so that she feels compelled to apologize to the left, for a vote to prevent a person from being forced by the police power of the state to directly pay for things that the victim of the coercion finds immoral.
The irony is that I’m sure Murkowski would be outraged if the government was using force to compell liberal citizens to pay for my subscription to the Limbaugh letter.
It just boggles the mind. What kind of a country to we live in, where voting to not force people to buy something for other people, when they have never been forced to buy this thing before, is now considered an attack on the would-be recepiant of the new transfer of wealth. Men should demand employers be forced to cover hair loss treatment and any hesitation to buy my Propecia, should be decried as an attack on men everywhere.

I saw the headline and thought Murcowski was mad about RINO attacks on Palin and Bachman. But then I remembered that she’s one of the RINOs. She must still be bitter.
