I am utterly baffled as to why ‘we’ collectively maintain contact of any kind with libs. “Family” to me is what you make it, not an accident of birth.

It’s not arguable that libs are the opposite of what we believe in...in fact who we are as a people. So why make our lives harder, more stress filled and worse overall by associating with people that think we are scum?

Disassociate yourself from liberals at all levels. No ‘family’ is worth it. If they don’t like it, let THEM change their beliefs. Why is it OK for you to ‘change’ but not them?

I look at it like emboldening the enemy. Because that’s just what they are. Those kind of people created and helped to create the mess that is 2012 America. We have to stop providing them with the ‘aid and comfort’ of our ‘tolerance’.

Let me add one thing. We are lways expected to ‘reach across the aisle’, but all the Republicans have gotten from expecting the same courtesy is some pathetic, purple lipped, insidious, ghetto thug sneering, “We won”.

No offense taken. I have limited contact with that particular family member and refuse to speak to another. My crime in that case? I asked her back in 2008 why she was going to vote for Obama, a question that she apparently found embarrassing because she could not answer. She proceeded to trash me in emails to others and does so to this day. So be it. Most in my family are sane. But just as with all families we have our share of kooks.

I have a saying on my Facebook page that they can all see. It says, "I can defend my political ideology with fact, logic and reason. If you can't defend yours, I must be an extremist."
