"Critics, including supporters of Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich and even neutral Republicans, argue that the national party took steps that helped tilt the contest toward Mitt Romney an allegation that the RNC rejects but is taking very seriously.
The list of specific grievances ranges from issues that even the party acknowledges are legitimate to those that they dismiss as desperate fixations from Romneys flailing rivals.
An operative for one of Romneys GOP rivals said, I know this sounds like Watergate conspiracy theory stuff, but it is all connected. Its the same sort of establishment crowd who all have concluded that we need Mitt Romney to be the nominee to beat Barack Obama.
The operative, who was not authorized to discuss the race, has worked at high levels of GOP politics, but said, It has been eye opening to see up close the degree to which the establishment does put its thumb on the scale.

I'm a little slow, and just got your word play -- cute!!
I.LOVE.VERY.MUCH :)
Next question...
Does anybody have a chance besides Romney?
I think that will be the message this time for Santorum. I don't think they'd try that crap on Newt...
Prince Reibus is the RNC chair. He used to be the Wisconsin GOP Chair. The state GOP is all RINO. They battled the TEA Party throughout the 2010 campaign, always throwing their support to the establishment candidate and ignoring the TEA Party choices. I have no problem believing that that the RNC skewed its support to Romney.
Never heard that one before... nice :)
RNC in the tank for the Rombot?
Ya think?
Even Romney doesn’t stand a chance...

We’ve go to concentrate on Congress and stop worrying about the White House. WE get the congress back we can stop legislation and EO BS...can be ground for impeachements...
We have got to get our heads in the friggin’ game here. The RNC is not our FRiend.
I have heard a lot, a real lot, of anecdotal stuff, and a lot of it I dismissed because the people were just strong Newt supporters and easily upset, but that was a while ago, and I've since changed my mind. the Florida GOP moved heaven and earth to get at Newt, and I believe crossed the line a few times. Then Tennessee... and I am sure they have done similar stuff to Santorum, though don't know those details. Mainly, if half the stuff I have heard is halfway accurate, the RNC is almost criminal, and totally unethical.
*the time has come to get behind him*

No, I don’t think so. I will vote my conscience in the primary.
When we are voting for POTUS, I will vote for anything that doesn’t say Obama. ANYTHING.
I respect Gingrich for keeping his pledge. I don’t delude myself that I will have my choice but I also will not compromise my choice.
Go Gingrich! I thank Gingrich and Callista for sticking with us. Thank you!
Gingrich is a fine man and a patriot, I am pleased to have lived in a time that included him.
God bless this country.

And this week marked the first incident of MSNBC, Larry O'Donnell, hitting the mormon theme... and mocking it. that tells me the obama campaign is now engaged and view Mitt as the nominee...

Well, I am not ready to give up on Newt yet. But I do agree with the house and senate. And Newt has said he wants to run a joing congressional-presidential campaign... hope he gets the chance.
And I'm sorry, but I don't see anyway the republicans in Congress, no matter what the new freshman class will be made of, will have enough courage to even utter the word impeach. That is a non-starter.
Ya think?
I think.
ps I love your screen name!
After 2008 and the treatment of the TEA Party by the GOP, I think all state GOPs are establishment. It’s the local folks who are the conservatives. Sort of the same way that all our institutions are corrupted by liberals because they put all their energy into amassing power, rather than working at a job and raising a good family, the top jobs in our republican party are held by the RINOs while the rest of us work and raise children with good morals.
And I think the higher up the ladder you go, the more the repubs and the dems become indistinguishable from each other... and the fewer and fewer real conservatives you see.
Of course they were.
