| Charles Manson, now 77, gets new chance at parole Shelby Grad and Andrew Blankstein

LOS ANGELES
This post has been corrected. See the note below.
After 11 failed bids for freedom, notorious killer Charles Manson, now 77, is up for parole later this month. The parole board rejected his bid in 2007, saying Manson [For the record, 9:42 a.m. April 5: An earlier version of this post incorrectly gave the killer's last name as Mason.] "continues to pose an unreasonable danger to others and may still bring harm to anyone he would come in contact with."
Manson refused to participate in that hearing, describing himself as a "prisoner of the political system." He also declined to participate in any psychological evaluations in 2007.

Since many of the people reading this article weren't even alive when Charles Manson went to prison, I'm surprised that the MSM doesn't use this photo
to represent him.
If he manages to get prole, I'm certain that he could probably find work as a professor at one of many major universities.

Eric Holder could use an assistant. Manson would be ideal considering that their goals appear to be pretty much the same.

I’m for paroling him as soon as those he killed come back to life.

When my wife and I married in the early 1970’s we move into a rental less than a mile from where Manson was living. In fact I think he still lives there, Vacaville Corrections Facility but I doubt the trailer park we lived in just down the road from the prison gate is still there.

Of course they will let him out, BHO needs Manson to campaign for him.
And then there is an open professors job at Santa Cruz University, he can share an office with Angela Davis.

Manson initially was sentenced to death. A 1972 ruling by the California Supreme Court found the state's death penalty law at the time unconstitutional and his death sentence was changed in 1977 to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
He's a child of the liberal courts.

Ah, Charlie! The beauty of the English language! Parole? Why “fat chance” and “slim chance” mean the same thing.

I believe Manson should stay in prison for the rest of his miserable life...that being said the article is wrong calling Manson a “killer” He actually did not kill anyone.

He looks like something out of a Halloween hauted house now. Too bad the temporary repeal of the CA death penalty saved him.

I believe he was supposed to be executed but Libs cried and he got life instead.
He, and his followers, should have been gassed 40 years ago!
To: SkyDancer
He shouldn't get parole, but they should release him to ‘general population’.

Charlie Manson, born, raised and educated in Ohio, looks pretty damn good for almost 80 years old.

Notorious killer? Who did he kill? His followers did the murderers.
Many an Iman should be on death row for the actions of their followers by that logic.
