Washington (CNN) -- The same week that a report documented massive overspending at the General Services Administration, a video emerged Thursday showing an agency employee joking about the excess spending and saying he would never be investigated for it.
The video also mentions an awards program for employees that gave out $200,000 worth of taxpayer-funded iPods, electronics and gift cards to entry-level government employees.
"I buy everything your field office can't afford," raps the employee in the video. "I'll never be under OIG investigation."

Government produces nothing and save judges and soldiers, the Feds should be cut by 95%. The IRS and every scumbag AA lifetime hire should be CANNED, not paid for life for doing zilch.
Government is nearly 100% waste. Close ‘er down.
Simply the logical consequence of the DC mindset under Obama: if you’re $15 trillion+ in the hole already, what does $200,000 here or there really matter?
If you’re flushing a half-a-billion dollars down every solar energy toilet you run across, who’s going to miss a couple of hundred thousand bucks anyway?
Just the tip of the iceberg. They’re saying there are more videos.
having worked with them on many occasions. They are the GOLDEN goose for the Gov. They are in to everything. Vehicles,Support equipment,Land,Furniture,Office supplies, computers, recycling. You name it they are in it.
We knew there was waste, but I think this is the first time there are videos of them actually mocking it and throwing it right in the faces of taxpayers.
Not that I am happy about them wasting our money, but if the GOP doesn’t screw it up, these videos should make great campaign commercials. Thanks to 0bama.
I won’t go to CNN. Have a problem with youtube and google but better than CNN?

If we had an actual candidate running against Obama, this would be great fodder for the fall campaign.
Oh, well.
The truth hurts.
I am an Event Manager for the Government. My agency will barely provide a cup of coffee during a meeting break, and attendance has to be justified.
There are rules (the same ones GSA has) and they are followed.
How this happened, since every expenditure is approved and/or signed for by a warranted Contracting person and Fiscal is just amazing to me.
True, with all the Obama outrages, the GOP runs a lemon cream pie as candidate against him. Obama hands them issues on a plate and the GOP lets him blow it off with nonsense.
Example, the birth control and abortion mandate for all employers who purchase health insurance for employees, even religious institutions that have a valid religious objection against these baby-killing measures. The Catholics and other major faiths object and Obama uses disinformation to spin it into a war against his liberal women base. It is not a war against women as all these measures are freely available outside any particular employer’s health plan. What is ignored is the First Amendment stating no religion shall be harassed by government with taxes or acts to the extent that religion’s faith is required to caste aside its beliefs. Meanwhile, all our candidates but Gingrich fell into the trap.
Well said.
I am a retired GSA employee after 35 years. I signed my name to millions of dollars in contracts. As CO I purchased everything from pens to remodeling warehouses. I bought the government fleet of vehicles during my tenure.
I remember agencies b*tching about Federal Supply Service (FSS) for years and then GSA stopped being a mandatory supplier. guess what- our sales skyrocketed once the agencies were forced to buy the stuff themselves or chose to come back to us.
PBS (Public Building Service) executives were a different bred though. I am not wholly surprised at the excesses, since I saw the whole crap about team building conferences come in to play under -— the Clinton and the Bush administration. I kid you not. I was forced to go to them. What a waste I said then. What a waste it is now. The powers took away all the money from our projects to pay for this crap.
I am glad all the excess came to light. but I will still defend the agency’s purpose. We did offer a good service.
I worked private sector for years, and the Team Building meetings
were a waste there as well.
Taking every possible step to make sure they don’t get caught next time.
Property Administrator for 34 years..know GSA inside and out. Attended many conferences and know of all their services. When you go to the land and facilities side of their business...it’s just $$$$$$. Been a CA & COR myself in my time. Congrats on 35 years...enjoy your retirement
