The unemployment rate is only allowed to move in one direction this year. It doesn't matter what data is input to the algorithm, the end result will be an unemployment rate that is the same or lower than the previous month's.
At this point, the unemployment rate has absolutely nothing to do with labor. It has everything to do with politics.

You absolutely nailed it. Obama’s media will never let him look poorly. If Bush was still in office you would see them reporting 30% unemployment, starving children, and bloodshed.

It was just announced here that Lockheed Martin has just been awarded a $1 Billion dollar contract for chopper cockpits, at the same time in that division, they announced a voluntary sep pkg asking for 500 + volunteers....
Yeppir, sure is a doggone great recovery...

You’re right; it so fails to reflect the reality “on the ground”. George Orwell complained that while fighting on the Communist side in the Spanish Civil War, he was dismayed to see huge victories reported where there had been no battles, and no reporting at all of significant defeats. Hopefully Obama will see the same results as those Communists...
