This week, a video was posted online of a seemingly lost and disoriented man being swarmed by a group of young people, then sucker punched, robbed, and stripped naked of his clothing on a downtown Baltimore street. It's not clear where the video was first posted, but it made it to the now typical stops for such shock clips: Worldstarhiphop, LiveLeak, YouTube, Twitter.
What could have been just another tantalizing video turned into something else: outraged viewers say they have tracked down the identity of the man who threw the first punch, and police have connected a victim - who had reported an assault and theft to police but couldn't remember where it occurred - to the incident. Police say an investigation is moving forward.
He was NOT dancing with that girl!! She was brought over to him, he was just standing there!

To #16:: I collect various crime stories and keep them in a database. Titles: Guns and Crime (including Home Invasions and Self Defense subtitles); Gun Control; Crime by Cities; Gangs; DOJ and Crime; Dealth Penalty cases/issues. etc.
Makes it easier to review them as a group over time and good sources for my columns.

The top two stories were a spiral staircase that took us to a small diameter platform from which we could exit the building through glass windows to stand on a narrow railed ledge. We'd moon our GFs who were watching from the street and spit at Public Square. Then we'd take the stairs all the way down to ground level bounding ten steps at a time. Blacks didn't wear hoodies in those days. Lime green shoes with yellow slacks etc were more the fashion. |
