Nope. The Republican establishment needs to learn the hard lesson, that “moderates” do not win. We will lose this election, but if Republicans learn from their mistakes, we may win big in the following election.

Yes, in 1937 we'll mount a stunning defeat of Chancellor Hitler! That's the ticket.

The GOP will never “learn a lesson” because too many still vote for them.

The GOP is a dead political party, and slowly but surely we are facing that fact.

It is sad and scary, (as evidenced by many on this thread who still cannot face it).

They will someday, as we all did.

What makes you think they are going to learn anything? Have conservatives done anything this cycle that would prompt those people to drop their smugness and self-satisfaction?

Even if they lose 49 States, next cycle they will do the exact same thing all over again -- picking one of their clubby own for the Dedazo, as Mexicans call it, The Nod, the Person Whose Turn It Is.

(Who went to Andover and Exeter and Choate and Yale and Middlebury and Brown and Harvard Law and Georgetown and Sloan and JFK and ... and ... and ....whatever.)
