Shorter CNN to George Zimmernan:
Gee, George, sorry we pretty much declared you a racist in front of all of America before having all the facts, but Obama's all-in on this one and we're all-in for Obama and since you're a registered Democrat, we think you'll understand.

I am amazed at the premise that if George Zimmerman had indeed muttered the the phrase ‘f** coons’ to himself then there would be grounds for a federal investigation.
I’ve never been to FL. For most the automatic assumption is hot and humid all the time. It takes a while to remember that it can get damn cold there.
His whole history of tutoring black kids and protesting against alleged police violence against a black man would make it quite likely that the first words out of his mouth would be a racial slur /s (In these matters the sarcasm tag is most definitely required)
What’s a “back-PEDDLE”?
Does the Big Journalism crowd need a copy editor?
I’m available - but I’m not cheap.
Yep. But blacks yelling “die cracker” or “whitey” as they douse a kid with gasoline and set fire to him is not indicative of a “hate crime” (I get your point. The whole idea of “hate crime” is just ridiculous, redundant, and a tool against whites only).
This audio travesty reminds me of that couple that had a bug put in their BEDROOM and recorded everything that happened in there. The police said they found all kinds of damning evidence proving the couple complicit in the disappearance of their child.
The judge listened to it and said to the prosecutors something like WHAT ARE YOU NUTS? This the crappiest recording I ever heard and I can't tell what they are saying. DISMISSED!
Maybe they should play it backwards and see if he says nigger?
SNL episode 427.
But, I was wrong, he punches her in the gut.
Then she says “same time next week?”

So this kid walked two miles in the cold rain to get Skittles? I mean, I like Skittles, but come on...
If I'm reading this chart correctly, the temperature was in the low 60's when the shooting happened . . . sweatshirt weather.
See police that night talking to neighbors, you can see how cold they all look at the 35 second mark here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dnswf9OeGCQ&feature=plcp&context=C4dcb576VDvjVQa1PpcFPISmPGzAndDsYzejTfMf5gjO66QlTn_Do%3D
I'll bet it did feel cold for Florida. He must have said coon, right? Right?
That is the only thing it could have been./sarc
I thought the “It’s fn co**” comment was from a different call on a different night...
I’ve never seen anything as pathetic as this. And it’s typical of the whole sorry mess that the press has made for itself.
Maybe. If you check the weather for where I am, you get readings from the nearest data collection point, which in my case, happens to be 22 miles away. Guaranteed, it’s hotter/colder/wetter/dryer/windier here than there. Sometimes by a very significant margin.
I’m trying to decide who looked colder ... was it the two cops in short sleeves or the fellow in the t-shirt?
>>See police that night talking to neighbors, you can see how cold they all look at the 35 second mark here:<<
Well, I wasted a minute following your link. Either you forgot the /sarcasm tag in your comment, or you really see what you want to see when you look at things. I mean, the guy in the short-sleeved shirt looks perfectly comfortable.
We’ve got enough on the media in this fiasco without having to make things up.
(And I’m not saying that Zimmerman wasn’t cold either; just that your example doesn’t do squat for making that case.)
Am I the only one - aside from Z’s pal Joe Oliver - to suggest that “coon” is a VERY old-fashioned word for a young man to be using? If he was going to call Martin out on his race, I think he’d use the n word.
IMHO you’re getting it!
