President Obama softened his rhetoric Tuesday about the possibility of a Supreme Court decision striking down his healthcare reform law, after Republicans accused him of threatening the high court. (Snip) Obama said Tuesday that he would respect the courts opinion, but still believes the justices should not overturn the healthcare law. The point I was making is that the Supreme Court is the final say on our Constitution, and all of us have to respect it, he said. But its precisely because of that extraordinary power that the court has traditionally exercised significant restraint and deference to a duly elected

“I thought I heard that the ruling wont be announced until June...why is that?”
First they vote and the justices each write their own opinion and have an option to change their vote. Then when the decision is in cement they write the final majority decision and that is handed down in June.
If this wasn’t an election year, you can bet Obama would have already tried court packing á la FDR.
He thiinks they take their responsibilities seriously? He’s not sure?
Is this guy on drugs?
The last thing said or done is what was in a person’s heart. BarryO meant what he said. The “unelected” that serve on this country’s highest court had a “shot” across their bow. Then again it’s Kagan’s code directive/warning. BarryO is a dangerous man and his power is going to his head thinking he has the “audacity” to remove Justices from their bench for voting against “the bill”. He’s a cheap sheister if he’s trying to covertly send a message to Kagan. I wouldn’t put it past him to issue a Presidential Directive and try to remove any of the Justices that vote against his Health Bill. He was caught and now he knows he’s been caught and now he’s trying to excuse himself. BarryO we’re on to you and your game; keep digging that hole because November will be the month of reckoning.
But its precisely because of that extraordinary power that the court has traditionally exercised significant restraint and deference to a duly elected....”
HA!
Well...isn't that just too big of him? Considering the fact that there's not a stinking thing he can do about it if they do overturn it!
Say what you want about conspiracies, but at some point a Scotus justice, even if sold out to the dark side, wants to be among the top dogs. And if Obama threatens to make them a byword, then they’ll kick back.
Even demons appear to have pecking orders.
Or worse, Breitbart-ed.

Moderator, look it up, don’t be such a knee jerk PC Twit!
Our laws are to be written by the Congress as “representatives” of the People In what way did the Congress act as “representatives” of the People? In what way did the Congress show “respect” for the People?
The Congress showed no respect whatsoever for the vast majority of Americans who opposed Obamacare. Indeed, they showed utter contempt, lording their collective, legislative power over the People. Maybe the “respect” should have started in the Congress, many of whose members were replaced by the People at the first opportunity (as, I hope, will be the current POTUS).
I got a bridge to sell you. He has done NOTHING but work “around the Constitution” and he’s PROUD to have done so.
With or without SCOTUS support, Idaho and I don't know how many other states, have and will "nullify" this unconstitutional legislative mess.
If SCOTUS strikes Obamacare down (wouldn't that be nice), obviously no nullification required.
Followed by Excuses and Blame...
“He looked like a thug....”
It comes natural.
Now on deck for the Keystone State ... Nullification
