A partially-redacted police report detailing the initial investigation in the Feb. 26 shooting death of Trayvon Martin has surfaced.
Reuters reporter Matthew Keys first posted scanned copies of the report to his Twitter account. As the Chicago Tribune noted, the report contains details that conflict with several rumors surrounding the case.
The report states that George Zimmerman's gun "was placed into evidence" and not returned to him, and the scene of the shooting was secured with crime scene tape. This directly conflicts with statements made by civil rights activists, including Rev. Jesse Jackson, who had claimed the Sanford, Fla., police department "didn't even bother to put yellow tape around the murder scene when he died--that's how much the police did to find out what happened to this young boy."
After officers discovered Martin's body, the report states, they unsuccessfully attempted to revive him.
According to the report, Sanford police spent more than seven hours at the scene. They interviewed six witnesses, whose names were redacted from the report. The partial report contains information from the first two officers to arrive at the scene.
The first to arrive was officer Timothy Smith. From Smith's report:
"While I was in such close contact with Zimmerman, I could observe that his back appeared to be wet and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground. Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and back of his head."

That is the main question I have always had. How could his father not notice all the police activity?
You are still missing my point.
My point is the absolute media silence in regard to the NBPP bounty issue. I don’t give a rat’s rear end if the NBPP got intel from this report or not. I want to know what is being done about what they have done here.
The police work for a City Council that has already bought into the false narrative. Defending themselves would be risky.
ping!
The only reason I can think that would justify not calling the police the night of the incident is if PopMartin was high or drunk and didn’t want to be around LEO.
At 1:32 in this video that night. Just outside yellow police-tape, and directly in line with the (yellow tarp covering the body just around the corner) - is what looks to be a beer or soda can tossed to the left side of the walkway. Strange that it looks to be ignored. Considering how free of litter the grounds look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dnswf9OeGCQ&feature=plcp&context=C4dcb576VDvjVQa1PpcFPISmPGzAndDsYzejTfMf5gjO66QlTn_Do%3D
My first thought was 'outstanding warrant'.
But either that's not the case or none of the cops ran his name.
Regardless, the entire 'skittles/tea/didn't know he was missing' scenario has pegged my BS meter from the git.
Almost as disgusting as the blackwash being perpetrated down there is the (slowly dwindling) group of seminar enablers here on FR.
Skittles is street slang for the drug dextromethorphan, or DXM found in some cough syrups.
Sanford is a big hub for illegal Oxycontin. Local CVS selling eight times the amount needed for the entire population of the town. Busted by State/Feds not local police.
Like you, I've not seen a single mention of either of those items (real or illicit) other than when they were inserted into the narrative by the M family lawyer.
<cynic hat>
Don't be surprised to find out down the road that the NBP were encouraged by the money/clout of the Pimps to not only issue the 'bounty', but actually take Z out to keep ALL that stuff from coming out at trial and ruining their fun.
And yes, with the traitØr in the WhiteHut, I do think they're feelin' that frisky.
But so did Napoleon . . .
I think the TM stands for Trayvon Martin, not for trademark.
Hey, CT... The 'details' are *facts*, and the 'rumors', are just that... Rumors...

George Zimmerman Video Shows Little Evidence of Broken Nose, Doctor Says
ABC | April 3, 2012 | Matt Gutman
...shows little evidence of a broken nose, the president of the Florida College of Emergency Physicians said today.
Really? Facts differ from rumor?
The report states that George Zimmerman's gun "was placed into evidence" and not returned to him, and the scene of the shooting was secured with crime scene tape. This directly conflicts with statements made by civil rights activists, including Rev. Jesse Jackson, who had claimed the Sanford, Fla., police department "didn't even bother to put yellow tape around the murder scene when he died--that's how much the police did to find out what happened to this young boy."
Brutha Jesse knew this how?
Sanford police spent more than seven hours at the scene
Trayvon's daddy, who was mere yards from the crime scene couldn't be bothered to find out what was going on or where his missing son was?
But still, police presence yards away and a missing son and it didn’t occur to Tracy Martin to find out what was going on?
Martin never yelled for help; he yelled “tonight you die Mo__ Fu__!”
The “expert” was self-proclaimed, and incompetent.
.
That fast?
Good point too. But when the head of the(In)Justice dept thinks the NBPP is his people...
Tracy says he came home just before 11 pm. The crime scene was 70 yards away, and behind his unit. i don;t think the crime scene was visible from the road by the time he drove up.
I don't think the neighborhood is particularly close knit, otherwise one of Tracy's friends would have known Trayvon was in town, and would have told Tracy something happened. Tracy's account of being unconcerned about his missing son is that he assumed, after trying to call him and cousin on their cell phones, that Trayvon was at the movies with cousin.
Not to say his story doesn't have holes and inconsistencies; but as far as Zimmerman's guilt goes, Tracy Martin's observations are not those of a witness to the altercation.
Martin is initially reported as hanging out near the clubhouse, looking at houses and acting suspiciously. Then he walks by Zimmermans truck at around 1:30 on the 911 call and proceeds east.(So Zimmerman's truck was pared at 'C' when he initially spotted Martin? And Martin walks by Zimmerman's truck? and at Twin Trees?
The image below is an aerial shot of the neighborhood. Martins location is marked in yellow, and Zimmermans in red.
Martin couldnt have been walking on Twin Trees because ten seconds into his call Zimmerman said that Martin was on "Retreat View Circle.
