But still, police presence yards away and a missing son and it didn’t occur to Tracy Martin to find out what was going on?

-- But still, police presence yards away and a missing son and it didn't occur to Tracy Martin to find out what was going on? --

Tracy says he came home just before 11 pm. The crime scene was 70 yards away, and behind his unit. i don;t think the crime scene was visible from the road by the time he drove up.

I don't think the neighborhood is particularly close knit, otherwise one of Tracy's friends would have known Trayvon was in town, and would have told Tracy something happened. Tracy's account of being unconcerned about his missing son is that he assumed, after trying to call him and cousin on their cell phones, that Trayvon was at the movies with cousin.

Not to say his story doesn't have holes and inconsistencies; but as far as Zimmerman's guilt goes, Tracy Martin's observations are not those of a witness to the altercation.
