MICHIGAN
Over 3,000 convicted immigration fugitives were arrested as part of a nation-wide sting operation, with nearly 70 of them in Michigan.
The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) led the six day operation, said to be the largest of its kind. In all, it involved 1,900 ICE officers, with assistance from ICE Homeland Security Investigations.
Arrests were made in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, three US territories and Washington DC.
Of the 3,100 arrests, 67 were made in Michigan. Twenty-one were arrested in the Detroit area, 19 in the Grand Rapids area and the remainder was arrested around the state.
ICE says that those arrested in Michigan were mostly male, coming from countries including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba, Iraq, and others.
The agency says 204 of those arrested were turned over to US attorneys for prosecution on a variety of charges.
Again,
There are whole towns around the Big Lake Okeechobee with majority of illegals and ICE has NEVER shown itself there.
Got to pander to big sugar, big citrus and big cattle don’t ya know???
crimes of the century are lining up to get out ....
Man whose WMD lies led to 100,000 deaths confesses all
Defector tells how US officials ‘sexed up’ his fictions to make the case for 2003 invasion
The chemical engineer claimed to have overseen the building of a mobile biological laboratory when he sought political asylum in Germany in 1999. His lies were presented as “facts and conclusions based on solid intelligence” by Colin Powell, US Secretary of State, when making the case for war at the UN Security Council in February 2003.
But Mr Janabi, speaking in a two-part series, Modern Spies, starting tomorrow on BBC2, says none of it was true. When it is put to him “we went to war in Iraq on a lie. And that lie was your lie”, he simply replies: “Yes.”
US officials “sexed up” Mr Janabi’s drawings of mobile biological weapons labs to make them more presentable, admits Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, General Powell’s former chief of staff. “I brought the White House team in to do the graphics,” he says, adding how “intelligence was being worked to fit around the policy”.
As for his former boss: “I don’t see any way on this earth that Secretary Powell doesn’t feel almost a rage about Curveball and the way he was used in regards to that intelligence.” ...
Just 19 in GR?!
The whole of the SW side of town should have been rounded up.
“Over 3,000 convicted immigration fugitives “
“The agency says 204 of those arrested were turned over to US attorneys for prosecution on a variety of charges.”
hmmm....so how many of the 3,100 are actually going to be deported? And how long will that take?
1900 ICE officers to catch AND RELEASE 70 illegal criminals?
Insanity.
The key words are “ convicted immigration fugitives .
This wasn’t a general “round up”
“This wasnt a general round up “
You’re right; it is only in the news to convince people that aren’t unassimilated ethnic minorities, homosexuals, or public school teachers that they should vote for Obama.
I live in a town with a LOT of illegal aliens, and I assure you nothing is being done about it.
We’re bringing them in. Back in about 98 or so I used to go to the bar at night after work. One night I met a Guatemalan kid there who told me that the united states government flew virtually his whole village up here in the middle of the night on a big military transport plane. They all worked at Pilot Plastics in Manchester Mi.
A few weeks later one of the supervisors told me that the INS showed up and arrested all of them.
“coming from countries including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba, Iraq, and others.”
“so how many of the 3,100 are actually going to be deported?”
What would happen if countries refused to accept the deportees back in? Could they do that? Are there treaties that countries must accept these people back in?
“What would happen if countries refused to accept the deportees back in? Could they do that?”
They could, but most countries do have agreements because they want the ‘rewards’ that go along with it.
Well that’s just great! Now who’s going to cut the grass in my condo subdivision?
IOW - it’s in their best interests to cooperate
If they would just visit the Walmart on Alpine it would clear out mighty fast.
Puerto Rico? Um, how'd they know who to arrest?
/sarc
They missed soetoro’s Uncle Oinko.
