How to read the tea leaves on this.....

I am 100% certain that right after the vote was taken Friday, Elena Kagan leaked the results to Barry. So he already knows what the Court has done.

Whether he is setting the stage for it passing or preparing the ground for trouble if it’s scuttled is hard to say.

I agree with you and I think he is giving them a subtle threat of what they will get if they don’t change their minds.

If what you say is true I don’t think it would be hard to say at all. I think that if they were voting to let the mandate stand he would not try to bitch slap them like this. It would be counter productive. I honestly think the guy is a crybaby and he will not finish his term due to personal meltdown.

And on this subject you are correct... we don’t know how it wll end yet. You can bet a whole lot though that one of his appointees gave him the skinny just as soon as it could.

You are correct.

My guess is he knows it will pass.

The press will then say that he has a grasp of the constitution that conservatives do not.

I disagree. First of all, the vote they took Friday is just a preliminary vote, and may or may not reflect the final outcome. The justices will review each other’s written statements over the next several weeks, and opinions can and do change in various SC cases.

Second, if Obama thought the vote was in and was good for him there is no reason for him to make inflammatory public pronouncements about judicial activism. He would likely have been much more pseudo-magnanimous.

I don't disagree, however, that Kagan is unethical and cannot be trusted in any way.

Just like I said last week, if it was to be upheld, he wouldn’t be talking like this. He knows.............

I agree completely with your assessment, but not with your doubt about what that initial vote was. Looks like he is setting up another war. Wall-to-wall anti-SCOTUS blitz for the whole month of April and into June to intimidate and threaten the Supreme Court.

I agree 100%. She either told her “partner” who relayed it or she just picked up the phone. There is no way that the person that wrote and prepared the defense and hired the people that put on the defense and who assisted the defense in court and refused to recuse herself didn’t inform her boss. This was why she was appointed.

For me, the key is a Ginsberg resignation. If she decided to hang up her robe this year, instead of 2014/2015 we know all is lost for Obama. She is his last opportunity to pack the court.

Why Kagan? My guess is Ruthy. Sotomayor is a possibility but I really think she worries a lot about getting bumped or hit ~ her bones break so easily that just walking across a hard surface for long will fracture her ankles. We've all seen that happen.

Ruthy's husband died last year so she's alone, probably depressed, and in such physical pain she had to sit in a special chair (where she still slumped down) for the last USSC group photo.

Kagan knows this is the best job she's ever had in her life, or that she ever will. She's not about to attract the attention of the House for an Impeachment.

Of the three Ruthy's clerks are probably the least trustworthy ~ she just has no sense about Commies and their toadies.

Which means Ruthy called Obama about the votes, or one of her untrustworthy clerks did so.
