**I think Obama, in his post-summit (Mexico, US, Canada) TV appearance, just told the US Supreme Court how to vote on the Obamacare issue.**
Read more at: Fox NewsPresident Obama, employing his strongest language to date on the Supreme Court review of the federal health care overhaul, cautioned the court Monday against overturning the law -- while repeatedly saying he's "confident" it will be upheld.
The president spoke at length about the case at a joint press conference with the leaders of Mexico and Canada. The president, adopting what he described as the language of conservatives who fret about judicial activism, questioned how an "unelected group of people" could overturn a law approved by Congress.
"I'm confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress," Obama said.
The Supreme Court spent three days hearing arguments last week in four separate challenges to the health care law, which stands as the president's signature domestic policy accomplishment. A central challenge was over the individual mandate -- the requirement that Americans buy health insurance. Critics say the mandate is unconstitutional, and that the federal government cannot force people into the insurance marketplace.
I agree. This is one of the most aggravating threads I’ve ever read!
WHAT DID HE SAY?
He can say it if he wants, just like he attacked them to their faces in his SOTU show, and lied about their ruling that he complained about.
Doesn’t make it proper.
His solicitor general argued the case to the court.
That’s where the proper communication took place.
O running his mouth, isn’t.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - either he is an embarrassment and incompetent and is going down hard, or he is the Beast of revelation and it’s gonna take God to sort it out.
I’m thinking the former, but time will tell.
OldNavyVet, we are asking you to further explain your thread.
Basically, Obama said that Conservatives are always complaining that judges are legislating from the bench and that the new healthcare law was passed fair and square by a democratically elected Congress and everyone should just STFU about it...paraphrased.
You know, his normal arrogant self.
"Frankly, I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of." ~Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Thanks, corlorde!
Turn onto the Fox News Channel ... That specific segment was replayed once, and probably will be again.
Hopefully this will go down like Obama’s Chicago Olympic bid... FAIL.
OK, ONV doesn’t seem to want to tell us.... did anyone else see it?
Not everyone can watch TV, especially if they’re at work. Why won’t you help them? Never mind, someone else graciously did.
See reply #26. Thanks, Corlorde!

(Spit)
But this is good news. He must have received news of the vote, and is now having a tantrum.
We just need five of the justices to stay healthy for 90 days.
hmmm so we should then overturn every OTHER thing that liberal judges have overturned as ‘legislating from the bench’?
I can think of lot of 9th circus decisions I would like to have seen go to “what the people wanted and voted for”
I think Odumbass does not know the difference between creating NEW law from the bench and declaring A law valid or not
“Has Obama gone beyond his Constitutional limits?”
Which time?!
Hell yes, he has many many times!
Just wow. If that is what he said, then that is a major gaffe. What kind of Constitutional law professor says such? I guess he wants to go back pre Brown v. Board of Education among others. I guess he wants the Roe v. Wade decision changed to represent the laws of the land at the time.
I want to see quotes.
