Mitt Romney supporter Ann Coulter appeared on the ABC News Sunday show, This Week, hosted by former Clintonite George Stephanopoulos. Asked about Romneys potential vice presidential picks, she said this (while seated at a table with former green jobs czar Van Jones, who served under the Biggest Novelty Candidate of Them All, Barack Obama):
Ann Coulter:
You cant have a novelty candidate, I think. That would ring too much like Sarah Palin. I agree with George Will that it be good to have little tea party excitement, and the odds-on favorite, I mean, certainly the betting is on Marco Rubio, I think that would be a mistake. But Coulter, who is a firm Mitt Romney supporter, said the GOP frontrunner needs a running mate who is tried and tested, she suggested Romney pick someone like New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie or Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.Hes been tested, hes steady, hes not frightening. He could certainly step into the job Coulter said of Kyl.
Unbelievably, Coulter is under the continued delusion that Sarah Palin was the problem with the 2008 ticket and not McCain. Later in the show, when Van Jones floated former Bush Secretary of State Condoleezza Rices name for VP, Coulter snorted again: Too much like Palin.
Say what?

Well, my opinion of her went out the window once I heard she dated that POS Bill Maher.
Ann is not the pretty darling of the people any longer. Sarah Palin is. Sarah has a good, gorgeous husband and a big family that supports her. She’s strong and smart and beautiful, all things Ann was supposed to be. Now she’s bitter as all heck and it’s coming out her ears. Defeating any TEA party candidate is a way of hacking Palin down to size in her mind. This is sickly personal.
Ann Coulter is turning out to be a RINO rider at a Donkey Rodeo..
Her rhinestone encrusted hoodie don’t fool me..
Palin would be 1. Ann's books are now 4.
I always bought her books. Never again.
basic ‘election math’ has 0bama winning.
romney loses 10-20% of his base due to being a mormon, and he won’t make it up in the middle. besides, progressive-lite is still progressive. no thank you.
santorum doesn’t have the umph / passion to bring out the base
that leaves gingrich? loss.
only Palin has taken the best shots from the media but keeps getting more popular. she is also the only one that would bring out the whole base. she has the passion
without Palin ... 0bama wins.
i cannot see it going any other way at this point.
ACoulter is only helping 0bama at this point.
Rubio is not even two years into his first senate term, like Obama was. Gov. Martinez is midway into her first term, like Palin was.
Sadly, Ann turns out to be just another jealous woman scorned.
Ann Coulter is unattractive
Jealousy is an ungy animal.
Everyone who loves Sarah Palin (I’m one of them) ought to emulate her and get a thicker skin! I don’t need Ann Coulter to like Sarah or choose the same candidate as I have. She is a contrarian and I have enjoyed that many times over the years. We need contrarians to smash our sacred cows, that’s their job.
Also, has anyone heard Ann recanting on her former beliefs, or is she just not approving of the right candidates?
I think your right and I have been saying it for a while, with Ann, its about making money. She makes more money with a Dem in the White House then a Republican. She can get more money in personal appearances, book deals, etc, with a Dem in the White House..besides that she did the nasty with Bill Maher, that pretty much says what her standards are
Gee Ann, it would make ALL the difference in the world to you if Sarah Palin had done the right thing, and graduated from one of your precious Ivy League schools, like all the other elites, now wouldn’t it?
Sort of pathetic that Ann is STILL so jealous of Sarah. You’d think she’d have snapped out of it by now.
Jealousy is nothing more than a fear of abandonment
Over the last few months, Ann Coulter has burned bridges with probably 80% of her loyal book-buying public.
I have no idea what she's thinking, but it is certainly not about making money. She's killed her personal cash cow.
It's not like the left wing is suddenly going to embrace her for endorsing milquetoast liberal Republicans.
And mushy moderates, by definition, don't buy books about politics.
I always wondered why she was considered a conservative when she didn’t act like one.
She has always tried (hard) to look sexy. Sarah Palin dresses nicely and happens to have a pleasant sexy appeal. But Ann coulter always had her boobs out or her midriff showing, with skirts impossibly short, and her long, dyed blonde hair carefully arranged down her chest.
She isn’t married and doesn’t date openly. The men we know about are liberals. She didnt appear to want a family.
She used to fight liberals for a living but she was sleeping with them. Kinda creepy. And what is up with the Adams apple?
Counter’s decline correlates with Sarah’s rise. I have NEVER heard her say anything positive about Sarah. She appears to be intensely jealous.
Oh, boy, Mark is going to be interesting tonight. Coulter is showing her true colors in more ways than one. She's not a conservative, AND she is blatantly dishonest. Her 2008 columns praised Sarah Palin----although I did think then that her habitual use of the term "our Sarah" when referring to Palin dripped of condescension.
Let's face it. Coulter is 50, unmarried, bony, and looks like a horse. Apparently the only men who will have her (briefly) are whacked-out leftwingers. She's probably reached the point where her envy of Palin's looks, handsome husband, family, and happiness are now boiling over into bitterness that can't help but be spewed.
I am SO looking forward to her next book. I hope it tanks MAGNIFICENTLY.
