One in five Americans calls California or Texas home. The two most populous states have a lot in common: a long coast, a sunny climate, a diverse population, plenty of oil in the ground, and Mexico to the south. Where they diverge is in their governance.
For six years ending in 2010, I represented almost 500,000 people in California’s legislature. I was vice chairman of the Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation and served on the Budget Committee. I was even a lieutenant colonel in the state’s National Guard. Before serving in Sacramento, I worked as an executive in California’s aerospace industry.
In his State-of-the-State address this January, California governor Jerry Brown said, “Contrary to those declinists who sing of Texas and bemoan our woes, California is still the land of dreams. . . . It’s the place where Apple . . . and countless other creative companies all began.”
Fast forward to March: Apple announced it was building a $304 million campus in Austin with plans to hire 3,600 people to staff it, more than doubling its Texas workforce.
California may be dreaming, but Texas is working.

Another plus for Texas, our baseball team is better than the Los Angeles California Angels of Anaheim.
California, soon to be the Greece of America.
Moonbeam personifies the mindset of that state. Dreaming of progressive utopia while the realists, producers and wealth builders skedaddle for the borders.
There's no one to blame but the voters themselves.. they started electing proponents of the "gimme" state to the Assembly back in the '70s and have never paused to recognize the consequences.
So, along comes 2010... an opportunity to chart a new course.. but CA voters reaffirmed their lust for government largesse and pro-illegal sanctuary policies, welcoming back Jerry Brown and giving Babs Boxer another six. As is the case in Chicago, California Republicans are little more than token, amusing props for the required "electoral" exercise every few years.
Perry has done a relatively good job in Texas, but the R party in general is a disaster. Exhibit 1: Joe Straus. We have a lot of RINOS that need to be primaried out of Austin, chief of which is Straus. Then we need to break the Ds hold on Austin and El Paso. The Valley will take longer to clean up.
Hey don’t believe a word of this, things couldn’t be worse than to be stuck here in Tejas. Stay in California for your own sake, do not move here, you will not like it.

Yep, everywhere Californians have emigrated to they take along their lefty voting habits. They are like an invasion of fire ants.
Most of those “Californians” didn’t come from California.
California was destroyed by leftest coming here. But that’s what leftest do...
