Battle of the trophy houses

"It’s the battle of the Left Coast trophy homes,
with White House wannabe Mitt Romney
squaring off against New England Patriots.

Both of the 1 Percenters have chosen
oh-so-pricey neighborhoods in
Southern California for their dream homes.

No. 12 just moved into his massive Brentwood manse
after nearly two years of construction.

Romney bought an existing home in swish La Jolla
that he wants to rip down and replace with a newer model.
He’s been lobbying San Diego officials
for permits for four years.

So how do the two mega-manses stack up?"

If Milt is the "contender" (chosen to lose)
the MSM will blast this at the opening round.

He destroyed MA and then moved onto a different state. Didn’t want to stay for the backlash. Loyalty is non-existent with this POS.

Right on the water. Now he can bring in his illegals by boat.

I clicked over to the Boston Herald website to read the article in order to try to understand this post, and the article was perhaps the most poorly written, unintelligible, excuse for a newspaper article I’ve ever seen. Gayle Fee And Laura Raposa with Megan Johnson need to go back and retake sophomore english classes.

All Romney has to say is, “I like the bling bling, what can I say. Word”

Bill Maher was already making fun of the fact that Mitt wants to put a elevator in the garage for multiple automobiles. I heard it on the radio this am.

Why should it matter? Does the fact that Mitt has money disturb you?

While I don’t like many of his other positions, the fact that he has money and spends it, shouldn’t upset anyone other than dyed-in-the-wool communists.

It’s his money. If he wants to build a mansion in Southern California, so be it.

Why should it matter?

Did his liberal murderer-freeing judges matter?

Did his junking of the Massachusetts economy matter?

Did his coverup of the BIG DIG matter?

Did his imposition of BOTH Romney/ObamaCARE matter?

Did his junking of the Mass. Constitution to impose
(by his will alone) gay marriage matter?

Did his bringing of millions of illegal aliens to Mass.
(making several cities void of English) matter?

Did Romney’s ineligibility for POTUS matter?

Did Romney’s dog abuse (fled to Canada) matter?

So far, not so much.
Later, I bet the MSM will be filled to the brim.

You just couldn’t find a more stereotypical republican for the democrats to demonize. It doesn’t matter that he’s anything but typical or that he’s not even conservative. He’s the living breathing caricature of what they want people to see.

The democrats couldn’t have created anyone better and to top it off, he can’t seem to stop insulting conservatives.

"....poorly written, unintelligible...."

It appears to me to be a formatting problem. The ads/photos seem to have erased/covered much of the text and scrambled what is left.

That doesn’t answer my question or my point. As I said, I don’t like many of his other positions and actions that he has taken, but the fact that he has money and spends it is irrelevant.

The fact that you brought it up seems to indicate that you think it is a big deal what he does with his money.

Throwing about other issues now doesn’t answer that point.

So, do you have a problem with rich people or not?

Last night on Mad Men(AMC show takes place in 1964)one of the characters, who play a NY political bigwig, received a phone call and makes a comment that Romey( refering to Mitt’s Dad) is an idiot. It really pissed me off. It was so blantant , it made me want to stop watching the show.

Jones511 only called him a communist if it in fact bothers him that Romney has a lot of money, which it appears it does bother him. He avoided the question and Mitt’s money is not the issue.

From the title I first thought this article was about Romney and Kraft. Kraft has jammed a mansion into a quiet island neighborhood off the Cape. It violates almost every single zoning law in the town. His gigantic construction vehicles have unlawfully seriously damaged the only bridge connecting this island to the mainland. Dirt, diesel exhaust, and noise 24/7. The neighbors are livid. Kraft just laughs and his attorneys tell the town and neighbors to go to hell. Such a fine man.

All the people who will benefit from Mitt's money, the contractors, the cement movers, the builders, the electricians, the landscapers, and on and on and on, A-hole Maher should ask them how they feel about Mitt and his mansion.

In politics, extreme wealth for someone running for President is not a positive and in a time of economic struggle it is a big negative. You can scream and yell all what you want, his money, his wealth, not anybody business, etc…. but all this would not work in elections… Romney wealth is certainly a negative for him and what would destroy him in the general elections is Bain Capital and his wealth… The only good chance Romney has to win the general elections is that gas prices remain very high…Other than that Obama would utterly destroy him.

Romney has a right to do whatever he wishes with his money. Whether he should engage in such a display of conspicuous consumption in the midst of a presidential run against a guy who knows how to play the populist card is another question. Al Gore and John Edwards were both criticized for their massive dwellings. Romney already comes across as the second coming of Northeast patrician Republican George Herbert Walker Bush, so you’d think he’d be wise enough to delay this project until after November 2012. Romney has a tin ear when it comes to populist concerns. He doesn’t need to pander to them, but he shouldn’t ignore that reality. The Obama machine is just adding this to the “I’m not concerned about the poor” quote, the Etch a Sketch comment by his key advisor, as fodder for the fall attacks. They’ll paint Romney as an out of touch rich guy and he’s handing them the brush.

Hi Newbie.
Do you?
Do you really think failure to support the ineligible RINO Romney
and writing in another name if the RINO-GOP stupidly
puts the ineligible lying shapeshifter on the ticket
makes a conservative ... a Communist? ------------ ROTFLOL
