When then-Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney signed into law the nations most far-reaching state health care reform proposal, it was widely expected to be a centerpiece of his presidential campaign. In fact Governor Romney bragged that he would "steal" the traditionally Democratic issue of health care. "Issues which have long been the province of the Democratic Party to claim as their own will increasingly move to the Republican side of the aisle," he told Bloomberg News Service shortly after signing the bill. He told other reporters that the biggest difference between his health care plan and Hillary Clintons was "mine got passed and hers didnt." more...

A financially secure candidate does not ensure a win. The Average hardworking American doesn't want a used car salesman "like" leader in the oval office. Romney can't be trusted.

So what else is new? Other than GOP once again backed a loser candidate. In some perverse way, I’m going to relish Romney go to the same historical trash heap as Dole and McCain.

...he told Bloomberg News Service shortly after signing the bill. He told other reporters that the biggest difference between his health care plan and Hillary Clintons was "mine got passed and hers didnt. What a whore he is.
He will say ANYTHING to better his chances. He has no allegiance to a political agenda in any way shape or form except the agenda of self promotion.
The GOP not only gives us McCain and expected us to be loyal to the party but they turn around and increase the ante with Romney and expect us to be fooled again!

(I can't believe we have so many turncoat so-called "conservatives" willing to vote for a socialist healthcare guy...On what grounds will they EVER be able to critique ObamaCare on???)
In 1854, we had the abolitionists "Free-soil" party [a party that kicked Whig butt!] that merged with the then-new Republican party to intensify its "social-issues" base...(In 1856, the Republican party said it would tackle the "twin relics of barbarism" -- slavery & polygamy...and it did for the next 40+ years!)
Now we have it all in reverse!
We have a descendent of polygamists [great-grandparents & at one point in the family tree, BOTH great-great grandparents were not only polygamists, but brothers...both Lds "apostles" at that]...
...rising to the top of a party...
...that's rapidly diluting its social-issues base...
...chasing it away as fast it can go...
Mark my words...the GoP right now is 29% of registered voters...
...Once it nominates Romney...
...that'll likely to drop to around 25% [me included...and I encourage others to go]...
...then after Romney loses, don't be surprised to see that % drop to under 20% of the registered-voter pie by 2013!
The Republicans are headed for extinction -- like the Whig party!

Look at Coulter, supporting GoProud, dissing Romney, supporting Romney. The true conservative is dying on the vine.

I suppose that Romney decided that he could do something far more efficiently and in a far more cost-effective way than the DemocRATS. He did, you can bet that what the DemocRATS would have imposed something far worse. But it’s something that should never have been done in the first place.

Romney better hope the SCOTUS cancels the whole of Obamacare and takes the issue off the table.RomneyCare is not off the table; it's still law in the Bay State. Planned Parenthood still has a permanent position on its oversight committee because Romney wouldn't veto that portion of it.
RomneyCare is still doing $50 taxpayer-funded abortions in MA...blood is still on his hands.
