When news broke that Katie Couric will be filling in for Robin Roberts next week on ABC's "Good Morning America," the country yawned. Or, at least we did, until we learned that NBC plans to pit "The Rogue Warrior" against "The Perky One": Sarah Palin will be guest-hosting "Today" this Tuesday.
[....]
"I see this as a good opportunity to bring an independent, common-sense conservative perspective to NBC. Were 'going rogue' and infiltrating some turf for a day, Palin told Breitbart News.
When Breitbart News asked for a comment about the fact that she will be competing with Couric, Gov. Palin responded simply: "Game on."

i may dvr it....
She should be fighting Romney for the nomination.
Instead she’ll be in a one-day ratings war against Couric.
What a come-down.
What a let-down.
What a disappointing end to such promise of true greatness.
-- ancient Klingon proverb
Katie can drop a deuce from her house.
April Fools?
If you look at it that way, I'm not. Just enjoy the warrior and ignore the beast. The media ALWAYS enjoys causing strife. f'm.
This sounds strange since she is under exclusive contract to Fox.
April fool?
The only Rogue Warrior I know of is Richard Marcinko.
I hope Sarah pummels Couric in the ratings, and then laughs all the way home.
Neat! Going right into the belly of the beast... NBC.
Haven’t watched a single second of the “Today Show” in over two decades, but I’ll be tuning in this Tuesday.
CluelessKate, doesn’t know the way to the women’s room. Obviously, she needs to be ‘potty’ trained - she’ll drop her s**^ anywhere.
That’s weird: I’ve been told, repeatedly, that she is a washed-up has-been, that her “15 minutes of fame” are over, that she’s a ditzy, brainless, whack-job rethuglican wing-nut. Why would the esteemed NBC network even let her into their office building?
My brain hurts!
It's been a longer timespan for me. Is J. Fred Muggs still featured on that program?
Love it!
Fascinating.
Wouldn’t it be interesting, if the inevitable massive spike in the Today show’s ratings that day simply because Palin is guest hosting, were to land Palin a permanent spot on that chair?
Stranger things have happened.
I mean, there’s at least one rational bean counter at NBC making responsible business decisions, isn’t there?
NBC could score a huge new audience overnight.
Meanwhile effectively re-introducing actual journalism into our so-called media for the first time in the last two decades?
It is to dream.
I’d start watching an actual network news show again.
I never watch a network “news” show - because it’s all just vapid propaganda.
I’m a news hound. By all rights I should be a voracious consumer of news. But the leftist CRAP just turns me away. I can’t even watch for more than 5 minutes, on any network, before the gag reflex kicks in and I grab the remote.
How nice it would be, to have an actual network show to watch. To schedule. To become a loyal viewer of.
NBC are you listening??
I watched a presidential debate on the hostile-to-conservatives channel, but that’s the extent of my viewing of any programming on NBC ever since Couric attemped to sabotage Palin when she was a VP candidate. For that reason, Couric epitomizes sleezy journalism. NBC (and its roster of liberal activist blowhard/haters, especially Sharpton) makes Globe newstand magazine look classy.
I’ll have every set in my home tuned in to a show I never watched, until this Tuesday.
What a come-down.
What a let-down.
What a disappointing end to such promise of true greatness.
