Juan sometimes gets a glimpse of reality, but his vision is still limited to the Leftist mantra: where's the outrage over the daily scourge of black-on-black crime? But what about all the other young black murder victims? Nationally, nearly half of all murder victims are black. And the overwhelming majority of those black people are killed by other black people.

The rest of the observation would be, "And what about all of the white violent crime victims, and the fact that the astronomical percentage of interracial crime is black on white?"

No, that would be a little too much reality for Juan.

The thing about Juan Williams is that he sees the reality of the world. His problem is that despite seeing those things clearly he still can't grasp the "why."

He first got himself in trouble with the left when he wrote a critical article about Marion Barry. He almost got himself thrown out of the club.

It makes quite a statement that the weekend Jesse Jackson goes rushing to Florida for the Trayvon mess, 40 blacks were shot in Chicago. Fourteen were shot yesterday at a funeral in South Florida. Six were shot by two gunmen, in hoodies, in a Chicago mini-mart.

How similar to Ken Stein who spoke today at my synagogue!

(Ken Stein is the Carter Center Fellow who quit the Carter Center and Carter's inner circle over Carter's book Palestine Peace Not Apartheid. He is now a history professor at Emory University.)

The gist of his talk was to reject "narrative" in favor of "history, history being all the facts positive and negative, and narrative being only facts and sometimes invention to bolster the history of a particular group of people. (So he suggested e.g. the black narrative doesn't bother to include that blacks were first sold into slavery by other black.)

I thought I was really going to like this guy. But when it came to Obama, it was all sweetness and light, just doing his best for the American People. Some people are just so conditioned by their upbringing that they can not break free of their leftwing chains. Williams is another one. Everyone knows he knows better, but he just cannot break free.

.
Juan is not dumb, but because he is a liberal he has to act that way.

It gives the MSM an excuse for not presenting the facts.
