Grey holds the Quran, which he later burned
Gray is wanted by Texas authorities for allegedly assaulting a police officer. During an altercation at a traffic stop, he allegedly tried to take a state trooper's pistol and bit him.
But Gray, a deeply devout Christian, was already well-known to law enforcement by then for his different -- even extreme -- views of government. He believes government has taken away too many of his God-given rights.
"I've put out literature about the new world order and what's going on," Gray said in an interview with ABC News in 2000. "And I've done that for years down there. And I think I upset a few people. They didn't like it."
Authorities believe Gray might be capable of acting on those views.

“Bit” the trooper?
That sounds a bit wacky. Maybe the state wants him tested for rabies now.

Don't think so.
I'm more confident they want his assets, land and anything else they can confiscate.
It's what government does as a matter of routine.

Just kidding about the rabies of course.
A lot of folks, not everybody by any means, would look at this guy and say “dangerous kook, but as long as he stays where he is he can’t harm very much.” Others would sympathize, including a whole lot of freepers. And who knows what the local sheriff wants. That might be someone with integrity or it might be another Buford T. Justice type.

More power to him. He doesn't want to hurt anyone, he just wants to be left alone.
Authorities believe Gray might be capable of acting on those views
Well he hasn't bothered anyone for years, which is more than can be said for the new black pampers putting out hits on citizens. Stupid media propaganda. "crazy Christian alert!"

Brings to mind the “Chicken Man” in Georgia. He caught hell and harassment for raising chickens on his property from the “law”.
He finally had enough; was facing foreclosure (I don’t know all the details) and just the other day, blew his house up.
He was the only one hurt.
More of these “statements” are going to be made.
Obama puts restrictions on public pools for wheelchair access?
He doesn’t give two sh*ts for people-—he wants little poor black/white/hispanic children to burn in the heat of the summer with no relief so that riots start.
This is his plan.
This pervert will have blood on his hands.

The only bunker on the property is for the seven children. It is clearly marked with a large red sign stating "kids." This has been done to protect the children so than none will be killed. The 10 adults plan on staying above ground and defending the property. John Joe Gray has stated that he will protect his property unto death and that his back has been pushed against the wall." Interesting link.

I imagine there’s a few like him, but this is what the islamist, jihad’s have been practicing for years and now we are at a crossroads...do we act like them or do we war against them...I say we stand for what is right and true to the Only God and press on!

Heck, even the use of the word "compound" is somewhat prejudicial. A guy's got a nice house on some property where he and his family can live on their own and it's a "compound"? That word is used by the government so that when they raid it with pseudo-military armored vehicles and snipe the inhabitants, all of the sheep in the US will just shut their eyes and think "Well, after all, it wasn't like it was just somebody's home, it was a compound."
Quite frankly, we should have been rioting after Ruby Ridge and Waco. Because we didn't, the government has gotten bolder and more oppressive, and the average LEOs have even more militarized hardware.
