ABC News has learned that the Internal Revenue Service never conducted an investigation into South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s involvement in a Sikh temple’s finances. Nanette Downing, Director of EO Examinations, stated in the letter, “…we did not conduct an examination for the above period (tax year ended 2009)”.
Eric Hill, a program manager at the IRS, said in a separate letter to Haley’s chief of staff Tim Pearson that “we determined an examination was not warranted at that time.”
Earlier this week, Logan Smith wrote for a little-known website, The Palmetto Public Record, that Haley, a Republican, faced a federal investigation of her finances and those of the Sikh Religious Society, with which her family has been associated:
“There has been a great deal of chatter lately regarding a federal investigation of the Sikh worship center run by Gov. Nikki Haley’s father, Dr. Ajit Randhawa. Speculation on the probe’s target has run anywhere from delinquent taxes to money laundering and tax fraud, with varying accounts of the governor’s own involvement in the temple’s shady finances.”

It was a BS story started by a no-name blogger that even a bunch of people bought hook, line and sinker.
THANK YOU for posting this! I saw that about Gov. Haley a couple of days ago and while suspicious, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Obama sicced Holder and the IRS on her with trumped up BS accusations. Obama’s behind has been smarting since Haley kicked the crap out of the IAM and I’m quite sure neither Obama nor the IAM have forgotten.
SC democrats, led by the excretable James Clyburn, desperately need another scandal to have any hope whatsoever in 2012 and 2014. Clyburn would jump on fake charges against Haley faster than a blood-sucking flea on a mangy yellow dog.
I am very relived that it hasn’t happened, though. Yet.
I haven’t checked, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the same no-name blogger that started the BS affair rumors about her.
If course, what does this say about all the media outlets that run with stories like this without doing due diligence.
So ABC smears Haley during the week when people are paying attention, then releases no investigation on Friday evening, when people are out and about and not paying attention.
Friday news dump. It’s always about the smear with ABC lately.

Hours after Palin left the Alaskan governorship , BOGUS rumors circulated on CNN claiming her resignation was the result of an upcoming FBI investigation for fraud/embezzlement.
In an unprecedented move, the FBI released a statement that night announcing that the Palins were never being investigated (past of present) and were not under any suspicion. The stories were pure fabrication.

There are lots of establishment R’s in SC who don’t like Haley. While she was in the SC Legislature she pushed to make all votes on the record votes, except for votes on things like honorary namings, recognizing the boy scouts, etc. LOTS of her fellow legislators didn’t like the idea of having all their votes on the record and one thing R’s do well in this state is hold a grudge. I’m a conservative and I vote R but some of them make me wonder. . ..
Clyburn is as stupid as he is execrable (though `excretable’ applies, too). He really thinks he is the black answer to Simon Legree. We in South Carolina have to live with his pomposity and arrogant treatment of white constituents as second class citizens in his huge gerrymandered district..
I swear to God on all that I am...CNN had on their early early morning show this morning and on HLN the following caption:
“Nikki Haley To Be Indicted Today”
Now this story comes out...I hope the MRC is all over it because CNN was calling her 100% guilty this morning.
Ew, you reside in Clyburn’s district? I’m so sorry. That must be incredibly frustrating. Take comfort that he’s the only Democrat left in SC’s delegation.
I’d pay good money to see a debate between Clyburn and Tim Scott. Clyburn would have his nasty, corrupt head handed to him.

This smearing of Haley most likely is being done by Rove or somebody like that. They are making sure that Romney doesn’t look at her for the VP. They have their own VP picked out for Romney and the names ain’t Haley or Rubio.
