NBC News is being excoriated in some circles with competitor Fox News Channel leading the charge for selectively editing audio of the 911 call placed by George Zimmerman just before he killed Trayvon Martin.
The NBC segment in question featured anchor Ron Allen and ran on the Today show on Tuesday. On Thursday, Sean Hannity and guest Brent Bozell played the NBC version of the 911 call and compared it with the unedited version.

In the NBC segment, Zimmerman says: This guy looks like hes up to no good. He looks black.
The full version, though, unfolds like this:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like hes up to no good, or hes on drugs or something. Its raining and hes just walking around, looking about.
911 operator: Okay. And this guy, is he white black or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.
After playing both versions, Hannity said: They forgot the dispatchers question! How could NBC, in good conscience, do that?
This isnt bias, this isnt distortion, this is an all-out falsehood by NBC News, answers Bozell, who runs a conservative watchdog group called the Media Research Center.
When you hear him say, he looks black, anyone watching that believes that there are racial overtones to what this man did, Bozell says. How could you not believe that? It goes with the narrative of the profiling. The only problem is, they edited out the dispatcher asking him, what does he look like?
NBC News declined to comment.
When Michael Westerman was pursued and shot dead in 1994 for flying a Confederate flag from his pickup, he was posthumously accused of having used the "N word" to his attackers, but his wife said no words were exchanged before the pursuit.
They have tried to say Zimmerman used a slur referring to Trayvon Martin, but all they can come up with is one indistinct syllable that could be just about anything.
"Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."
But I couldn't remember the right words. 'Rough men' did it. George Orwell said it.
It's a great one to throw at the 'non-violence' people. They just pay other people to be violent for them so they can pretend holiness.
There should have been jail sentences over it but they were ignored.
bump
Actually I just remembered that Orwell didn’t really say that.
Rough Men
Did George Orwell ever say: “People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf?” Or: “We sleep safely at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would harm us?”
Not exactly. But he did make comments that were along similar lines. In his essay on Rudyard Kipling (1942), Orwell wrote: “[Kipling] sees clearly that men can only be highly civilized while other men, inevitably less civilised, are there to guard and feed them.” (Thanks to Keith Ammann for this). And in his ‘Notes on Nationalism’ (1945) he wrote: “Those who “abjure” violence can only do so because others are committing violence on their behalf.” (Thanks to Parbety). Where the rough men crept in is anyone’s guess.
LOL! Thanks again, keep it rolling......
When will they get the Nobel Prize for journalism now that they've shown the truly leftist liberal stuff they're capable/made of?
Mainstream media: the result of community organizers/agitators dictating the news to leftist agenda driven democrat groupies (the war on women (there is none), racism (markedly increased with the Obama/Holder administration), the war on Christianity, the war on conservative talk radio, the war on Israel/Jews, the war on guns, the war on self-sufficiency (food), the war on fossil fuels (gas, coal and energy), the war on small business, the war on American sovereignty (borders) etc., etc. etc..
MSNBC omits crucial words from 911 call to paint Zimmerman as a racist
NBC deceptively edits Zimmerman 911 call; implies racist motive
NBC News distorts Zimmerman 911 call
NBC News deceptively edits 911 call to portray George Zimmerman as racist
NBC News accused of editing 911 call in Trayvon Martin controversy
I am soooo tired of the commercials that always make the white man look stupid, incompetent and useless.
And I’m a woman! It is sickening....
Mrs CT Hillbilly
If you listen to it in a loop (which I have linked to) you can make out he is saying "F****g Punks!"
HERE IS A SLOWED DOWN, ENHANCED LOOP OF ZIMMERMAN
It CLEARLY isn't "coons", the word is a puckered "P".
No mistaking it.
See my post at #90...
Boycott NBC.
“NBC, unavailabe for comment.........”
Until obammy’s handlers finish the script.
You must be new around here. Here's how it'll work: No other medial outlet will report this, except Fox. Mention Fox to any liberal and the story automaticly becomes "faux".
LOL! The Gremlin was another bomb on wheels.
You got it...boycott, haven’t listened to them for decades. MSNBC also gets the channel switcher.
Sounds right to me.
America has become completely brainwashed as a whole. The newer generations are in for a rude awakening. They will understand tyranny the hard way, and they are perfectly willing to accept it.
That a Hispanic man who tutors black children, observing someone who seems to be casing houses for a possible burglary, and not sure what race the person is, would use an out-of-date slur revealing animus against blacks (when he might know his call is being recorded), is totally implausible.
But the media and the activists immediately constructed the most damning picture they could of the shooter, and for many people that will always be the reality.
It looks like Trayvon tried to kill Zimmerman. He failed, but now his supporters (who never knew him while he was alive) are out to kill Zimmerman to avenge his death. If Zimmerman survives the next few months it may be only by staying hidden all the time. For longer-term survival he may need to alter his appearance and acquire a new identity...maybe move to another country. He might be better off going to his mother's country.
