I have to disagree. I think Rep. Allen West joined with the best intentions- to try to change the CBC from the inside. It's an extremely uphill battle, obviously, and to say that they are his "buddies" is a stretch, IMHO.

West is one of the those folks who FR has decided can do no wrong. Never mind Pigford, or the NDAA, or belonging to the CBC... Someone here will always make excuses for him.

Is he better than 99% of the other Congress Critters?

Probably.

But in this case, my wise old granny used to remind me that "You are judged by the company you keep".

Pigford and the CBC make me suspicious that the color of his skin is far more important to him than it is to me.
