Conflicting Stories by Martin Family About Trayvon's Last Night?
Friday, March 30, 2012 | Kristinn

I don't know what it means, but this strikes me as odd. From an interview with the parents of slain teenager Trayvon Martin by the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA):

Martin, Trayvon’s mother, Sybrina Fulton; Benjamin Crump, the family lawyer; Al Sharpton and former New York Gov. David Patterson participated in an exclusive 1-hour telephone conference call last Thursday with more than three dozen publishers from the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA).

Martin told publishers how he learned that his son had been killed.

“I had been out to dinner. When we got back between 10:15 and 10:45, he wasn’t at home. The night before, he had been to the movies with my nephew, who had recently moved up to the Orlando area from Miami. Every time Trayvon would come up here, they would find something to do, usually they would go to dinner. My nephew is 20 years old, a very responsible young man. So there was not panic at that moment that he was not home. I made several attempts to call his cell phone and it was going straight to voicemail. I called my nephew’s cell phone and it was going straight to voicemail. So at that point, I figured they had been in the movies because they would always go to the movies.”

Tracy Martin and his girlfriend went to bed. But the next morning, the day Martin and his son had planned to return to Miami, he learned that Trayvon still wasn’t back in the house. Tracy called his nephew again, this time reaching him and learning that Trayvon wasn’t with him.

Today, CNN published comments from a Martin family attorney that seems to conflict with the account proffered by Tracy Martin:

During the 10-day suspension, Tracy Martin took his son with him to Sanford, about four hours away from Miami, while he visited his fiancée because neither he nor Fulton wanted their son to stay in his hometown where he could enjoy his friends, said Horton, who has been in close contact with Martin's father.

"He wasn't just suspended from school and up at Sanford kicking it and having a good time," said Horton. Martin had only been to Sanford a handful of times.

His fateful walk to the convenience store for a bag of Skittles and an iced tea on the evening of February 26 happened only because the teenager pleaded to leave the apartment, said Horton.

"The only reason he got a chance to go to the store is because he begged his dad to go," he said. At the time, his father and his fiancée had gone out to dinner and to watch a basketball game, leaving Martin at the townhouse, according to Martin family spokesman Ryan Julison.

While walking to the store, Martin was on the phone with his girlfriend, whom he had been talking to for over 6½ hours throughout the day, the family's attorney said, citing phone records. The girl, who did not want to be identified, said she told Martin to run, but he refused, the family attorney said.

What strikes me is the father made no mention of his son begging him to be allowed to go to the store in his interview with the NPAA. That would be crushing to a parent, if true. They would be guilt-ridden, thinking if only they had said no, he wouldn't have been out.

Instead, Tracy Martin says he was not very concerned about the whereabouts of his son until the next morning.

It strikes me as odd.

Good catch!

“I had gone out for dinner,” says Tracy, “and when I got home, Trayvon wasn’t there. I tried calling his cell phone several times, and it went straight to voicemail. I wasn’t that worried, because he had been spending time with my 20-year-old nephew who was a responsible young man. There wasn’t a panic that he wasn’t at home. I figured that they had gone to the movies, because they had said they might. So I laid down, thinking they would show up later.”

The next morning, when he woke up, Tracy realized that Trayvon had not returned home.

“I started making calls, and I reached my nephew,” Martin says. “He said he hadn’t seen Trayvon. Then I really started getting worried. So I called the Sheriff’s department to file a missing persons report. I let them know it hadn’t been 24 hours, but it was unusual for Trayvon not to return home.”

Three police cars soon pulled up and a detective asked Tracy for a recent picture of his son. “I had one on my phone, so I showed it to him,” Tracy says, his voice tightening. “He told me he was going to show me a photo and ask if it was my son. He pulled out a photo of Trayvon’s dead body. And the nightmare began.”

So he told the same story of that night to People magazine and the NNPA. Now his flacks tell a different story to CNN.

Ha Ha! Best laugh of the day and a great obscene profit center break.

Great response to the sissy sheep cries “if Zimmerman had of done what he was told and stayed in his vehicle and not hunted down Martin” mantra.

The original story was he got permission to go to the store to buy Skittles for his little nephew, right?

So, need to check the father's time line now.

What time did he leave to go out for dinner?

How long had Trayvon been outside the house when the father left?

Where does Trayvon’s cell phone locate him during this time period?

Are the wheels going to come off this part of the story, too?

Anyone done due diligence on the father's integrity, namely, criminal record, employment history, etc.

Is this guy working, or does he hang around the house all day watching Trayvon?

Great aerial photo.

Is there a map link that shows where Trayvon lived and where the store is in relation to the crime scene?

Thanks.

Wrong. I’m in Forida and I carry. If that happen at all, much less a lot, Zimmerman wouldn’t have a CCP for his weapon.

The father wasn’t physically present. He was in another location with his girl friend.

That's true but he said; “I had been out to dinner. When we got back between 10:15 and 10:45, he wasn’t at home."

The police were there from 7:30 PM until 3:00 AM the next morning processing the scene and taking statements. The whole complex was aware of the situation. Supposedly Tracy Martin's gf's apartment was very close by. They didn't notice all of the cops, cop cars w/lights etc, and no one said anything to them about a young black male being killed there?

While the Zimmerman/Martin ‘white’ on black killing is covered 24/7 on the MSM with an outpouring of rage and charges of a racial hate crime, where is the concern- where is the rage about the home invasion, torture, beating, rape and murder of the elderly white couple by a gang of feral blacks in Oklahoma just a few weeks ago?

The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten and his jaw broken. He was shot in the face numerous times with a BB gun and sent to the hospital in critical condition.

The 85 year old partially blind wife was RAPED and then BEATEN TO DEATH.

Can you just imagine the pain, the humiliation, the horror that dear old lady experienced being gang raped by that pack of feral animals?

(the autopsy states she was raped. Don’t think all of these animals didn’t all participate)

And can you imagine the pain, the horror of that dear old husband having to witness this?

There’s a lot more involved here than a home invasion and robbery.

WHERE ARE THE CHARGES OF A RACIAL HATE CRIME??

90 year old husband’s jaw broken and shot in face with a BB gun numerous times?

85 wife year old semi blind wife RAPED and BEATEN to death??

Why does it take a foreign press to enlighten America as to this henious crime?

Where is the outrage?

No one with innocent intent heads into the dark. A young man with good intentions would have stayed in sight and in the light on the street or knocked on a door, not hidden in the shadows behind the houses.

According to other reports I have seen, Trayvon lay on a morgue slab for 3 days before his grieving “family” even noticed that he was missing.

Then, his mother applied for trademarks on his name.

These are despicable opportunists, NOT grieving family members.

My last two apartments have it in the leases any Guest(s) staying more than one night must sign-in with leasing office, forthwith!
Maybe if TM had been signed-in needless time would not have slow the notification.
Of course not all people do the right thing?

My apologies. I just re-read what you wrote. I thought you were referring to Zimmerman’s father, not Martin’s.

Where is the store where Martin purchased Skittles and tea? Has anyone seen the store’s video of him? If there were a video it would already have been purchased by a news outlet. It would show the time he was in the store before going back to the neighborhood.

There has been video on the news of the area after it was taped off. You mean to tell me Martin’s father had no idea there was a shooting in that small community the night before?

I smell a rat.
