Senate Republican staffers continue to look though the 2010 health care reform law to see whats in it, and their latest discovery is a massive $17 trillion funding gap.
The more we learn about the bill, the more we learn it is even more unaffordable than was suspected, said Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Republicans budget chief in the Senate.
The bill has to be removed from the books because we dont have the money, he said.
The hidden shortfall between new spending and new taxes was revealed just after Supreme Court justices grilled the laws supporters about its compliance with the Constitutions limits on government activity. If the court doesnt strike down the law, it will force taxpayers find another $17 trillion to pay for the increased spending.
The $17 trillion in extra promises was revealed by an analysis of the laws long-term requirements. The additional obligations, when combined with existing Medicare and Medicaid funding shortfalls, leaves taxpayers on the hook for an extra $82 trillion in health care obligations over the next 75 years.

Hello!
Hi Premier Chan. This is your old bud Barack. How about another 17 trillion?
click!
Pretty soon we’ll be talking about serious money, if this keeps up.
"gulp"...sorry Chan, I already did that with the rooskies.
Right. Kill Bill!
The entire GDP of the United States is currently about $14 trillion. The projected liabilities to be incurred as a result of ObamaCare are not only unsupportable, even in the short-run, they are entirely impossible without provoking complete economic collapse.
That Obama, what will happen to him next?
He’s so incompetent it’s starting to get funny.
He’s been writing checks he can’t cover for 2 1/2 hears.
The chickens are coming home to roost.
We’ll call him President Cliche’.
Well, Madame Pelosi said they would have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it. Guess they are just now finding out. (Soo-prise, soo-prise, soo-prise - Gomer Pyle)
“We have to pass the bill so that you can, uh... find out what is in it”...
It is, and will be if passed, the same as REINVENTING the United States of America. This country will become what it was NEVER intended to be and what NO majority of it's citizens would accept if permitted to vote for this kind and scope of ‘change’.
The Constitution, the courts, the Presidency, the schools and everything else will be hijacked by a tyrant who will answer to NO ONE!!!!
If I could be even 50% certain that the country would once again stand on the bedrock foundation of the Constitution that the fore fathers meant it to, when all was said and done, I would gladly weather that storm.
There may come a time in the very near future that even less of a chance would be worth the hardship and risk.
When I look in our little city newspaper I see that people who intentionally write checks without sufficient funds in the account are arrested and thrown in jail.
We must send a veto-proof majority, dedicated to cutting spending and consenting to Conservative judges, to the House and Senate in November. Vet and inform your candidates, then shout their names to all your neighbors!
I guess its time to ask: What comes after Trillion?
Zillion?
BZillion?
“Bad laws are the worst sort of tyranny.” Edmund Burke

I guess we’ll find it under the sofa cushions. Either that, or we’ll default.
I just hope the SCOTUS doesn’t do something really drastic, like overturning the law in its entirety.
It only took them two years?
Not sure on Lou Dobbs math, but he said instead of obamacare, we could just give the un-insured the $1000 dollars it allegedly costs the rest of us, and we’d save over $1.5 trillion.
The whole thing was if everyone pays we all pay less. Well, everyone doesn’t pay. Someone has to pay for those waivers!
