SACRAMENTO California has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Arizona's tough immigration law, saying it would drive illegal immigrants into other states. The Arizona law, passed two years ago, has been largely blocked by court order because of legal challenges. Among other things, it makes in a crime to be in the country illegally and to seek work.
The U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled an April 25 hearing, and a ruling is expected in June.
California Attorney General Kamala Harris has joined 10 other states in asking that the Arizona law be overturned. The other states are New York, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont.

And, the numbers on the demand for emergency services (police, 911, etc.?
Public schools?
Crime?
You get the picture. If these numbers drop over time, as they should, then the arguement is indisputable. Limiting illegals in the area reduces costs and promotes more safety. (note that the crime numbers may increase for spike before they trend downward.)

The other states have no right to say anything about Arizona’s law. I know some states like in the deep South and some Western states are very resentful when someone from the outside try and interfere with their internal matters.
This is equivalent to going to a neighbor’s house and start telling them how to do things. If I had a neigbor come over and start nit picking things I did inside my house or yard, a couple phrases would be “p*** off” or “f*** off” or MYOB.
There’s a lot of Californians cheering Arizona SB1070.
Don’t pay too much attention to what our politicians say. They are part of the Treason Lobby, and that goes for the latino suck-ups in the GOP as well as the Democrats here.
