“Obama Campaign: Republicans ‘Politicizing’ Trayvon Martin's Death,” RealClearPolitics reported yesterday, citing an appearance on MSNBC by Stephanie Cutter, Obama's Deputy Campaign Manager.
She was referencing the reaction to the president saying if he had a son he would look like Trayvon.
"His Republican opponents have jumped all over him because they do want to play politics with this issue. The President spoke from his heart on this, it was trying to emphasize with some parents who had just lost a child. By any measure, this was a tragedy and we need to let the investigation take its course," Cutter said.
Amen to the latter part—the investigation should be allowed to take its course. But as for “people hav[ing] to stop politicizing it,” Ms. Cutter exhibited bizarre, in-your-face hypocrisy, particularly considering some of the recent performances by Democrats Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, Hank Johnson, Bobby Rush…
The political left that includes the Sharpton/Jackson self-promotion street theater to the positively loony and dangerous haters represented by the New Black Panthers, has been doing nothing but making hay of this tragedy for political gain while pouring gasoline on the flames of racial mistrust,

I then asked a question that I believe merits a fair discussion:
Assuming he was not the aggressor, what if Martin had stood his ground and managed to kill Zimmerman? Would not those rallying behind his memory want to use the law to rally to his defense?
Ah, but there’s the rub, some may say. Reports say Martin punched first, and was on top of Zimmerman pummeling him.

We may never know, but in principle we need to be able to ask what if Trayvon Martin had killed George Zimmerman? Or what if their ethnicities had been reversed? What discussion would we…should we be having then?

Well, I hate to say it but I agree with Obama on this one.

What kind of a stupid question is this. Last year there were many, many whites killed by blacks. Did you hear the president, tike lee, or anyone else make any statements about them?
Oh. Right. Nothing. That happens dozens of times virtually every day in cities across America.
Last weekend three black males gunned down a white student at Mississippi State. How much did you hear about that and when are Jesse, Al. Louis and Hussein going to express their outrage?
None of us would have even heard about the case, it would have been lucky to get a blurb on the local Florida news and third page mention in the local newspaper.
Then the killer would look like the son Barry never had.

Just like these two incidents that happened in the last year were only talked about in the last two days:

IMO, this is about a lot more than race conflicts or gun control.
It seems like there is a movement among the left now (like OWS) to see if the rule of law can be usurped by rule of mob.
It appears they are trying to see if they mobilize enough people with enough intensity with enough media and politician backing that they can break laws and make laws on a whim.

We've gotta be accurate about this.The stats I've seen suggest that inter-racial murders of *any* kind (white killing black,black killing white,etc) is pretty rare in this country.But it *is* true that the only kind of inter-racial murder that would *ever* interest Osama Obama in the *slightest* is the white killing black (or Hispanic,or Asian,or "native American",etc) variety.

I believe they sprang the "Race Riot" trap a tad too early and with not quite the right cast of characters. They showed us their hole card: voter intimidation ala Black Panthers at the polls in a climate of fear and terror.
This faux-POTUS has been treated with kid gloves by all concerned precisely because of the subliminal fear of "Urban Unrest." Let's hope the electorate is smart enough not to be intimidated.
Word of Advice: Ideally, martyrs for a cause ought to have at least one or two saintly qualities and be smart enough to not go about cold-cocking fellows who just might be armed.
If Martin had killed Zimmerman the media would have run the story (as it always does) of a young black killing a white man, BUT whites would read it and ignore it. Commonplace.
I should buy a hoodie and write “ALL YOUNG BLACK MEN HAVE BEEN STEREOTYPED BY HOLLYWOOD AND THE LIBERAL MEDIA AS PIMPS, MURDERERS, AND DRUG-DEALERS”!
After years of being fed all of this by the media no wonder we white people feel the way we do about them.
It would then be ok, because he is a white-Hispanic cracker baby...
