Michelle Obama will address Virginia Tech graduates at the 2012 commencement ceremony on May 11 at Lane Stadium.
Mrs. Obama joins U.S. Sen. Mark Warner as commencement speaker. Both will deliver commencement addresses.
This is the first time a first lady has addressed a Virginia Tech commencement, according to Tech's morning news release.
Mrs. Obama will speak at three college graduation ceremonies this spring, including two in key general election battleground states.
Her first commencement address will be at Tech. The White House says the first lady has been inspired by the school's resiliency following the deadly 2007 campus shootings. Mrs. Obama will also speak at North Carolina A&T, a historically black university.
Virginia and North Carolina are both politically important states that will be crucial to President Barack Obama's reelection prospects.
Mrs. Obama will also deliver the commencement address at Oregon State University, which has been recognized for its efforts to promote healthy communities, a key priority of the first lady. Mrs. Obama's brother, Craig Robinson, is the coach of the school's men's basketball team.

It will be condescendingly preachy, and will have none of the grace, charm, optimism. and good wishes for successfully taking advantage of our freedoms that, for example, a Laura Bush might offer.
One wonders, will any of these bright young baccalaureates organize the community of graduates into an alternative graduation site and ceremony?

The scenario is being set.
After blaming whites for Trayvon, Obama will now say this is not about race, It’s about guns.
We gotta ban em. /s

Those kids are all graduating with useable, constructive, REAL degrees.
What could an affirmative action, Communist shyster, who has ascended to her lofty position via the successful playing of race politics by the pathological Left, possibly have to say to them?

The White House announced Wednesday that the First Lady has chosen to speak at Virginia Tech and North Carolina A&T two crucial battleground states her husband needs to win to increase his chances of re-election. Evidently she called them, they didn't call her. Thank goodness the relatives I have at VT won't be graduating this year.

Is she going to brag about how her husband got a hospital a grant so she could get
a cushy job for 1/3 of a million dollars because her husband was Senator?
Or will she talk about her Affirmative action education that prevented
a smarter white student with better grades from entering the same college.
Or will she tell everyone to become service workers and trash haulers because
it will make them feeeel better about helping others.
Or...
