LOL! Vegans are angry....Anyone want to place bets until one of the Moonbats forms People for the Ethical Treatment of Bugs? Will they try and outlaw exterminators....HAHAHA

Strawberries & Creme FrappuccinoAnyone who drinks a "Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino" (whatever that is) instead of good honest coffee like God intended, deserves to be eating bugs in their drink.

I think that carmine red, cochineal, is not kosher either. Don’t know about halal.
The only thing that comes from bugs that is kosher is honey.

Why don’t they just use beet juice instead of beetle juice for coloring? I have used it and it makes a beautiful color. Pink is my niece’s favorite color and I had a ‘Pink Day’ for her when she stayed with me- everything we ate that day was pink and I had to get creative with coloring for her oatmeal, tuna salad and mashed potatoes.

If a bunch of vegans were lost and starving in the jungle, and the only thing between them and death was a beetle, I bet they’d forget their veganism pretty fast.

Cochineal bugs are not all that gross. They are like aphids in that they suck juice from plants, specifically cactus. You can find them as far north as Phoenix where they commonly infest the pads of prickly-pear cactus. You don't see them directly because they spin a white, cottony webbing over themselves, typically around a group of thorns. Also they are so small they are hard to see individually.
Squeeze the cottony stuff between your fingers and it will stain them a purple red and it will not wash off. Before chemical dyes were developed in the 19th century cochineal was the best bright red dye available.
If you can eat a shrimp (cockroach-like, bottom-dwelling, scum suckers) these should not give you the creeps.

I'm not entirely sure what “creme” and “frappucino” are, but wouldn't one of those include milk? Or are they calling some soy abomination “milk”?

Several varieties of yogurt contain 'ground up beetles', as well...I always take a few minutes to educate the ladies in the dairy aisle whenever I get the chance.
My wife would rather I didn't go grocery shopping with her, but I would hate to miss out. (Check Dannon's Blueberry flavor...CARMINE! It's in there, baby!)

Beets would work too, but maybe not quite the desired shade and maybe costing more than beetles.

Oh, yeah, so tell me that you and the missus haven't gone out to "eat a few bugs" in your day.

I read the ingredients on drinks before I buy them. If I see “carmine”, I don’t buy them. Bugs, gross, eww.
