We did too! Our children are all doing VERY well because of the great work ethic, common sense gained from seeing cause/effect relationships... and multiple skills that they learned on our farm!!!!
Agrarian life fosters responsibility, maturity, sacrifice, work ethic, strong family ties, proper relationship with nature/creation...
It's no wonder the left DESPISES it.
Neither of us have children but our friends do. The kids who worked on their parents’ farms seem to have more on the ball than the kids whose parents don’t own farms. Those kids all grew up hanging out in video arcades and such and most never had summer jobs of any sort.
Most of those kids are young adults now and when I take time to think about it, the two sets are definitely different.
