A photo snapped on a Morganton street has gone viral and it has controversy brewing around a local coffee shop.
The Kyote' Koffee shop along West Fleming Drive serves coffee with a twist - baristas dressed in corsets and skimpy clothing, the business' owner told WBTV on Friday.
Saturday, the business owner sent WIS' Raycom sister station WBTV a letter from the property owner's attorney asking them to vacate the premises by March 31st. The letter cites several violations, including "nuisances in the parking lot," and "lewdness."
The shop has been steeped in controversy since a picture, taken on Valentine's Day, went viral.
The photo, which was sent to WBTV by a viewer, shows a Kyote Koffee employee dressed in her skimpy clothing standing on the side of the street, holding a sign with the company's slogan of "Come Get Some."
A comment posted on Kyote Koffee's Facebook says "this was the result of miscommunication between staff and management once again sincerest apologies," but wouldn't elaborate on what the miscommunication was.
Another comment on the page stated that the company's slogan is "Come Get Some" and "wasn't meant to seem perverted what so ever."
According to the owner, Tim Krol, the employee dress in corsets to lend to more of a fun and relaxing environment for their customers. "People like to go where they can be happy," said Krol.
The company was closed on Thursday, partly to "deal with harassment and negativity coming from other business owners," the owner said. All of the store's signs were stolen on Thursday evening, the owner told WBTV, but the shop was back open on Friday.
Employees said dozens of cars drove through the parking lot Friday and turned around and left, some of then even snapped pictures with cell phone cameras.

She looks like a porker. This is supposed to HELP business?
As the guy said in the video, you can see more skin at WalMart in the summer. I don’t see a problem with this.
Err, um ... I’m thinking she skips the “Koffee” and heads right for the “Pastree.”
yikes
When I lived in Fort Lauderdale, they had “R Donuts” a topless donut shop.
Oh, for Heaven’s sake, there is a strip club literally across the street from the main gate of MCAS New River here in NC, and they do car washes all the time. When we were stationed at Cherry Point, there was a strip club across from the high school.
LOL!
Winner! Winner! You get a pork dinner!
Well played!
The county should license it as a sexually oriented business and restrict customers to 18+
Those are the worst very close veins I have ever seen!
Guilty.
LOL
My home town I love it!! First of all she is a little chunky but not hideous. All these guys calling her fat. You can have the skinny waifs. Give me a girl with some meat on her bones. Second these prudes in my old home town need to chill. This doesn’t look too bad to me but the puritanical idiots back there can get a little self important at times.
I’d hold back on any judgment until she drops the sign... that thing’s hiding a lot of real estate.
Again when it comes to finding new ways to serve coffee, Seattle is leading the way. Oh, and the baristas are much better looking than what I see posted here on this thread.
Some coffee stands get steamier
In a short, sheer, baby-doll negligee and coordinated pink panties, Candice Law is dressed to work at a drive-through espresso stand in Tukwila, and she is working it.
Customers pull their trucks up to the window, where Law greets each with an affectionate nickname, blows kisses, and vamps about as she steams milk for a mocha. “You want whipped cream?” she asks, a sly smile playing on her pierced lip.
The next customer rolls up, and Law throws a long leg onto the window sill, like an indie-rock ballerina at the barre.
“Do you like my leg warmers?” she asks. “Aren’t they hot?”

Seriously, the girls of Cowgirls cater our Kiwanis Club charity Casino Night, and they are not only lovely young ladies, they also follow strict rules at the shops they work at, and that is kept that way by their Founder and CEO who is a member of the Kiwanis. Unlike most of the copycat bikini coffee shops that have opened up that often are in trouble with the law and neighbors.
Ouch...
“Dude look like a lady!”
“She looks like a porker. This is supposed to HELP business?”
You don’t understand. In Morganton, NC she’s a 9+.
And I don’t mean dress size, even though that’s true too.
