The parents of a Florida teen who was killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer in February will attend a House hearing on racial profiling and Floridas controversial Stand Your Ground law Tuesday.
According to a report by the Huffington Post, the parents of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin will attend a special forum hosted by Judiciary ranking member John Conyers (D-Mich.) on Tuesday. The forum, which will also include other members of the Congressional Black Caucus as well as other minority Members of Congress, will look into not only Martins death but also racial profiling and federal hate crime laws.
The forum will also discuss Floridas Stand Your Ground law, a controversial measure that allows armed civilians to use deadly force when they feel they are in danger of imminent but not necessarily lethal harm, rather than attempting to flee.

Let the circus begin. Oh wait, I mean continue in a new, expanded venue.
Good Lord these a-holes are determined to make a bad situation worse before all the facts come out.
That is exactly what they want. First, there will be one little rabid animal on your heels, then two, then a whole pack. Stand your ground.
The whole thing is disgusting.
Probably more of a thug profiling issue.
Is it just from Calif or is Free Republic’s server really glitchy today?
Jessise and the parent(s) committed racial profiling when they used the image of a hollister wearing 11 year old child rather than the image of a 17 year old teen.
Yeah but think about the t-$hirt opportunity with such a large venue! That’s a lot of death $wag that can be $old!
Trayvon Martin’s mom files trademark papers

The mother of slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin has filed papers seeking to trademark two slogans based on his name.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office filings by Sybrina Fulton are for the sayings “I Am Trayvon” and “Justice For Trayvon.” The applications were filed last week.
Out goes Fluck, in comes Martin. Who’s next?
Thread:
So, if someone has you pinned to the ground and is beating the crap out of you and you cannot be certain that he is going to beat you to death, then you cannot shoot him. That is, according to those opposing the stand your ground law.
It does seem that the 0bama Regime and the Lamestream media is quite willing and able to start a race war. Perhaps followed by martial law?
These people are clearly the most blind hatefilled fools I have ever seen.
There is black on black crime everyday, especially in Chicago where they are killing 6 year old children, but not a peep from these black racists.
Blind leading the blind. Once again they have taken up the wrong cause for the wrong reasons.
This is,of course,a joke.
Right?
Bet they get invited to the Hut! With $harpton and Je$$e in tow!
A group that only allows blacks is going to whine about racism...got it.
The majority needs to rein in these efforts by the Dems to make it appear as if they still control Congress. They hold phony hearings that are not official, and then the press plays along with the charade. They need to make sure that no public moneys, or staff, are used with these meetings, and to prohibit use of congressional facilities for them. Let them rent a hall at the Hyatt if they want, but enough of these stupid efforts at relevance.
This will do wonders to bring the country together.
Well, we certainly need to get to the bottom of this new “White-Hispanic” scourge threatening our beloved country. I think congressional investigations are in order because the nation is at risk of this entirely new racial group that has sprung out of nowhere.
Anyone following Trayvon’s NO_LIMIT_NIGGA Twitter account must know what a treasure he was and a role model for America’s youth. Yes, we definitely need to find out how to stop the rampaging “White-Hispanic” threat.
