You know things are pretty #’ed up when pre-K teachers tearfully resign necessarily for the cost of foolish, Leftwing, food zealotry.

The last paragraph is disturbing. The state legislature has to pass legislation allowing the parents more freedom to decide what their children eat at lunch?

This country is screwed up.

She's an out of control leftist thug.
She should have been fired and charged with willful child abuse.

Maggie is a lardy nanny-statist. Perhaps someone from the USDA should monitor her dietary intake and decide what she eats.

Margaret Maynor was brought to tears in the third session. She submitted her resignation soon after.

She’s just another commie teacher mis-educating our youth. No....I don’t believe this is a firing offense, she resigned actually but.... Her real crime is she made nanny state leftists look bad because there was an uprising over what she did

It would appear from the article that there was a Party Official present rhoughout this debacle, and that the local commissars weren’t convinced the teacher was sufficiently contrite during the first two re-education panels. They only offered their approval of her commitment to communism at the third session, after which she resigned.

The methods of the Chinese People’s Cultural Revolution have come to America.

She got thrown under the bus to make the incident go away.

But we know the policy will still be there. They will just keep it on the down low for a while and then start it all over again.

If they let her eat the lunch she brought from home and then sent her through the line for more food, that was OK, but to take her lunch away and then send her through the line is not a “supplement.”

The pre-K teacher?????????????

Pre-K huh? I didn’t realize that cradle to grave indoctrination was fully in force in our country. I thought it would be fully implemented after the election of 2012.

Looks like the modern American way of life is to be a single mother and immerse your extremely young child to social indoctrination by our school systems as surrogate parents.

Back in my day we had mothers called “housewives.” Stay at home real mommies who taught us right from wrong and raised us to be good Americans and respect life and property.

I guess those times will never return for the self-fulfillment and “Me” generation has come to maturity.

Is this article supposed to make me feel sorry for her? She’s a damned idiot with no sense. She just follows stupid rules to the letter with no judgement utilized at any point.

Good riddance. Only 400 billion more similar gov’t employees to go.

Knowing or suspecting what goes into the making of chicken nuggets, I would have mighty hungry to eat one.

This "teacher" just learned a lesson the hard way many more will learn on down the road: When the Socialists' use for you is over, one way or the other, they dispose of you. But, that is what the majority of those that voted said, via their votes, they want. they now have it.

She was only doing her job, its all the damn rules and regulations that have to be stopped. Its not about the kids getting to fat it’s about how the Agriculture department is in bed with the department of education. If it was about fat kids there wouldn’t be a rule that Kids in NC grade school can only move around and be physical for so many minutes a week. If they play kick ball because they earned it they can not do gym class.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

This posted comment is what caught my attention. Children are no longer allowed to play or have recess? They can’t both play and have gym? And that is on top of not being allowed much more than a sedate walk around the play ground with no swings, slide, monkey bars, teeter totter, or merry-go-round. Is there no realization on the part of the liberals that children do not grow up properly with out some scrapped knees and elbows?

Another reason why I do not like pre-k. Children become indoctrinated by the state at 4 years old and their parents are made to toe the line or else. I remember when my daughter was 4, about 20 years ago. I thought pre k was like a play school and I sent her. The local public school district had a pre k program which enrolled children based on income. We qualified and I thought it would be a fun thing for my daughter to participate in. Although my daughter did enjoy it at times, there were instances when I kept her home so that she could do things with me. I had no idea that it was mandatory for her to attend. One day I was giving her a bath in preparation for a birthday party we were attending later that day. Someone came to my front door and it was the school Social Worker looking to gain access to my home. I asked her why she was there and she told me that the principal suggested she make a home visit since my daughter had been absent a lot. I said to the Social Worker that my daughter was only 4 years old and if I wanted to keep her home, I would. Wrong answer. She kept insisting on coming in, and I kept refusing. I then called the school and spoke to the principal who continued to insist that she had the right to investigate student absences. I was shocked beyond words and felt violated. It was then that I realized how much we give up of our own freedom when we start our children too early in the government schools.

Sounds like the principal and superintendent are offering this teacher up as a scapegoat when in fact the state and school system put her in the position of having to police her student’s food because of their left-wing Michelle Obama “Let’s Move” food Nazi nonsense. It was an untenable situation.
