President Bush's list of domestic accomplishments is already pretty thin. No Child Left Behind is now universally despised among conservative activists. Medicare Part D epitomized Bush's big spending ways and arguably paved the way for Obamacare. And even Bush's tax cuts are looking to be pretty temporary in nature.
The one saving grace Bush still has on the domestic front is the Supreme Court. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Sam Alito have so far proved to be good reliable conservative votes. But all that may change after Obamacare hits the Supreme Court.
Almost everybody assumes that Justices Clarence Thomas, Antonin Scalia, and Sam Alito will side with the National Federation of Independent Businesses and find Obamacare's individual mandate unconstitutional. Justice Anthony Kennedy is the consummate swing vote. But what about Roberts?

while I don't like big government ANY-thing, that is not their problem with it - they love big government. The thing they hate is the ACCOUNTABILITY
Teachers are held accountable for failing schools (well, at least more than they were before) and that is the part they hate
remember - W tried to put Meirs on the SC and his wife called us woman haters for being pissed off!
That is freaking creepy!
0bama put Elena Kagan on the court because shes really good at using parapsychology to brainwash people. Not joking.
How many judges would allow a person who wrote the briefs for the defense attorney to sit on the jury of that case??
what in the hell is going on!!
LOL!
Boy what a list! How is this nation still here?
They don’t have to overturn it, just state that the individual mandates are unconstitutional, and that will kill it.
I pray they are wrong. It is a sad day when the legal community has become so ignorant of the US constitution that they no longer can see the unconstitutional forest for the trees. With the passing of generations and the university brainwashing, I can see where the ABA would think Obamacare is just peachy keenie.
Anyway, the fight is in the Senate and White House. We have to push Majority leader McConnell and president Romney to overturn Obamacare. The fight will be there.
We are going to have to have to literally put the fear of God in them that we will make good our threats if they fail to overturn Obamacare.
I will promise you this. If the GOP has the White House and Senate and House and refuses to repeal Obamacare, then I assure you I will never vote for the GOP ever again. I will quit supporting them. I will only vote 3rd party conservatives or write ins.
Sorry to say, but the GOP has forgotten how to act like a winner even when controlling every branch of government. Worse, I don’t think we need worry what they will do this time as they have already squandered any chance we may have had to defeat the international left (Obama) in this election.
George W. Bush is the opposite of Harry S. Truman.
I keep trying to remind people that the GOP does not need to defeat Obama. Obama is not running against the GOP.
Obama is running against his economic record. He is going to lose to the economy, not to the GOP.
I don’t know if you are a football fan, but when a QB does poorly, fans scream for his backup replacement. Never mind that the 2nd string QB is a fresh rookie or a crippled veteran.
That is how voters are in a horrific economy like the present. They just want the bum in office replaced and they don’t much care with whom, for the meantime.
Obama will lose to the economy. That’s the point.
I agree. The author of the piece had nothing to write about so they come up with this hair brain story.
But we could have had Newt.
B$ If they uphold this disaster then the Republic is no more and freedom has died, probably forever.
I have said that from the beginning and I am a not a dumb @ss lawyer. Just a dumb @ss.
It don't make us popular but you are right on all counts, now just wait for those temporary tax cuts to expire and Ocare to kick in. He and Tokyo Rove are directly responsible for the loss of both houses, that I don't forgive, and neither should anyone else on FR, but they do.
I believe the term is Silent Coup.
Yeah. Liberals are solely to blame for this monstrosity. - rolls eyes - Just ignore Dubya, his Republican Secretary of Education & Boehner in the pic.
Is that young Trayvon next to Bush?
