The Sanford Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teenager, did not instigate the encounter but has received death threats and moved out of his home, his father told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday.
George Zimmerman, 28, has not been arrested, something that has put him and the Sanford Police Department at the center of a firestorm. Critics say Trayvon, who was visiting family from his home in Miami, was a victim of racial profiling.
Zimmerman's father, 64-year-old Robert Zimmerman of Lake Mary, delivered a one-page letter to the Sentinel on Thursday, saying that the depiction of his son in the media has been cruel and misleading.
George Zimmerman is Hispanic and grew up in a multiracial family, the statement says.
"He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever ...," the letter says. "The media portrayal of George as a racist could not be further from the truth."
The letter does not provide details about what happened Feb. 26 on a walkway in the gated community where George Zimmerman lives and where Trayvon was visiting. But it does challenge one basic assumption of the family's lawyers: that Zimmerman's intent when he got out of his sport utility vehicle was to confront Trayvon after calling police to report a suspicious person.

New phones (since about 6 years ago) have GPS and APRS built into them that the 911 dispatchers can see where a phone is located. If they suspected the kids phone was missing it wouldn’t take much to find it using common technology to trace it’s location. And as you stated, if, by a while assumption, Tryvon did take any pictures, they would be on the memory chip of the phone. Probably not on the cloud. Unless they were backed up to the cloud.

You're absolutely correct Double Tap, on the audio provided by Spunkets, Zimmerman clearly says "F'n punks"......nowhere in that audio does Zimmerman say "COON" nor is there any racial comment made by him in the entire audio.......

The above video that Kristinn posted at #76 clearly shows that it is not an "upscale, gated community" as being reported throughout the MSM but rather a normal apartment complex for middle income and below residents. I'm familiar with them, I lived in one for 23 years.
And to show how contorted this whole story has become, Sean Hannity just had a black lady on his radio program giving her expected take on this sad situation. During her commentary, she even made reference to the complex as an " upscale gated community, from what she heard" showing clearly that she too was willing to accept all the crap the MSM was putting out......
My prayers go out to Mr. Zimmerman AND his family because the MSM has gone out of their way to condemn him and Sharpton and Farrakhan are calling for vigilanti justice.........

Also, watching an interview with Martin’s father on the local NY CBS News, it is clear that his father is a shameless liar.
When the reports of screams a cry for help and then a gun shot were mentioned, he said “My son was screaming for his life.” The police had played the 911 tapes for Martin’s father and he told them it was NOT his son screaming for help. Who does he think he is, Mitt Romney?
looks like the police are saying 6’ - 160. And I will reveal that when i was 17, I was pulled over more than once because the cop was sure i was too young to be driving. So, it’s not out of the question that it is a recent photo.
I believe Zimmerman put his hands on Trayvon first. I also don’t believe he backed off after 911 dispatcher told him to.
Zimmerman is the one with the history of being overzealous, wanting to detain people, putting his hands on people and not wanting people to get away. The 911 operator told him to back off, and his tone of voice he did not sound happy. He reminds 911 that “he ran” after being chastized for following him.
YOU don't know what happened - and I would believe the EYE witness who stated that Zimmerman was on the ground screaming for help [with Martin standing over him] BEFORE I would believe the girlfriend - the EYE witness doesn't have a dog in the hunt ...

With the exception of calling the police about incidents, I had my own means of dealing with night time obnoxious folks in the parking lot......LOL!
