NOTRE DAME, Indiana, March 21, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - After a conservative student action group launched a petition against the University of Notre Dame for linking to pro-abortion and gay rights groups as internship opportunities on its website, the school claimed the situation was mischaracterized.
TFP Student Action on Monday called supporters to oppose a page hosted under Notre Dames Department of Political Science. The famous gold dome of the University of Notre Dame.
The page for Summer Internship Opportunities lists pro-abortion groups such as Emilys List, Feminist Majority Foundation, institute for Womens Policy Research, and National Womens Law Center, the top gay rights group Human Rights Watch, and the leftist groups Center for American Progress and Think Progress. It also lists the United Nations Population Fund, the international organizations population control arm that investigations have found complicit with Chinas coercive one-child policy.

Father John Jenkins should be cracking the whip on this...
Not a good use of the school facilities to promote anti-Catholic jobs...
From the article, he is following the situation to ensure that Notre Dame does not grant credit from the internship jobs.
Sycamore Trust is a Notre Dame alumni watchdog group. I put more 'faith' in William Dempsey to make sure that Notre Dame does the right thing than 'Father' John Jenkins, president of Notre Dame...
Sounds like Our Lady has become Trollop University.
Father Jenkins was promoting the Vagina Monologues a decade ago-—I can’t stand his progressive twisted “thinking”. I have written letters to him before. He is not Catholic because he has adopted Marxism/Progressivism.
It would be nice if he could figure out that there is no such thing as a “Marxist Catholic”. These people need to go to a reeducation camp—and study some Aristotle, Locke, Thomas Reid, Bacon, Descartes, even St. Thomas Aquinas. They need to be able to use logic like in the Age of Reason.
This Progressive, Austin, Bentham, Marxist, Hegelian nonsense—as Ayn Rand said—it is irrational-—has got to be jettisoned NOW. That ideology has killed hundreds of millions of people. It is evil.
Notre Dame stopped being a Catholic university decades ago.
Father John Jenkins should be cracking the whip on this...
I missed the sarcasm tag but in case your comment was sincere, hell will freeze over first before Jenkins cleans that cesspool up.
Just typical liberals. They want nuns to take money from good women so as to hand off condoms to them for encouraging their perverted “arts”... because a liberal wants the best healthcare for themselves, even nuns serving them their pills and condoms, while leaving the rest to rot with school hookers as butcher nurses.
This is yet another symbol of their nonsense fascism of the absurd and debauchery of science, religion and God.
The president of school has shown his colors when he did not condemn HHS for the condom/contraception mandate.
'Father' John Jenkins has refused to condemn Obama and his cronies for things the rest of the Roman Catholic Church are condemning them for.
His lack of action speaks loudly on his failure to be a Catholic priest and to lead this Catholic University in a Catholic direction.
Father John Jenkins would be wise to head Luke 12:48: To one given much, much is expected...
The Lord answered, "Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns.[Luke 12:42-50 NIV]
I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
But suppose the servant says to himself, 'My master is taking a long time in coming,' and he then begins to beat the menservants and maidservants and to eat and drink and get drunk.
The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.
"That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows.
But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
"I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!
But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is completed!"
Glad I am wrong. I did remember conservatives at Notre Dame voicing grief over the HHS mandate, but LifeSiteNews.com had nothing at that time about Father John Jenkins [which was the recent outcry lead by the USCCB].
