So the jihadists are only after the Jews? Were you especially busy on 9/11/01 and the years since? I’m pretty sure a few of the three thousand + killed that day weren’t Jewish. How about the Christian churches being burned all over the world? My brother, a devout Catholic, lives in the Philippines and the jihadists there are quite content to go after Christians, Buddhists and Hindus, a group they call, “infidels”. Maybe you should check your facts and get back to me.
Another thing, the Vichy government went out of existence about 70 years ago. I only know and talk to about 8 or 9 French citizens regularly, admittedly a small sample but how many French citizens do you know personally and talk to regularly? Can you discuss their views based on first hand knowledge or are you relying on the filter of government and media? My contacts suggest there is a breaking point fast approaching. You might denigrate the French military or the French willingness to fight but do find time to look up Bonapart, Lafayette and Rochambeau; it isn’t a genetic defect.
