Six undocumented youth were arrested during a protest of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's immigration policies.
Officer James Holmes with the Phoenix Police Department said they were arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing a thoroughfare.
Holmes said the six arrests consisted of two men and four females, two of which are minors. Their names are not being released at this time.
The protest took place outside Trevor Brown High School off 75th Avenue north of Thomas in Phoenix.
At 5 p.m., there were more than 100 people. Many of the protesters were high school and college students who want to send a message that folks who are undocumented living in this country illegally should not have to live in fear.
Initially, it looked like some protesters were trying to get arrested by walking onto 75th Avenue to block traffic.

Okay. Now they are “documented”. Throw them out. This is our country, not theirs.
>>s who want to send a message that folks who are undocumented living in this country illegally should not have to live in fear.<<
I agree. They should live in their original countries in complete peace.
Why don’t they protest Mexico’s tolerance of corrupt politicians and drug lord connected military and law enforcement officials?
They shouldn’t have to live in fear for their safety IN THEIR HOME COUNTRY.
Now how friggin smarty can you be o be an undocumented alien and participate in a Joe Arapaio protest in Maricopa County.
These people are begging for a free ride to Mexico, and I hope they get it.
Good. Get the illegal scum out of my country.
A sane, sovereign country would deport them.
“Undocumented” Does that mean they are legal resident aliens, and they forgot their green card at home?
Not exactly related, but interesting. I read where Bruno Richard Hauptmann, kidnapper and murderer of the Lindbergh baby, was caught trying to enter the country illegally twice on board ship and deported. Third time he made it in. The “crime of the century” would have never occurred if they could have kept him out.
The First United Methodist Church became the latest group making a push to eliminate using the term “illegal” when describing undocumented immigrants after its board passed a resolution to that effect.
The Rev. Eun-sang Lee said after the 2010 elections, he saw terms like “anchor baby” and “illegal alien” used and decided it was time to focus attention on the words he believed were incorrect and offensive.”The use of dehumanizing and demonizing language is more than just a matter of bad manners,” Lee said. “It also violates our faith communities understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

When do some of these churches ever get around to telling faith communities understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. in this country illegally, that Jesus did not condone lying, cheating, stealing, using fake or stolen documents as well as paying thousands of dollars to smuggle illegals into this country by mainly dangerous drug cartels. I do not mean to offend anyone, but some of these churches operate more like a cult.Illegal or legal nobody is exempt from the teachings of right and wrong and in the context of you need a better life, you get upgraded to exempt and certain laws may be broken with blessings from above and carry on, it’s all cool.In a sense some of these churches have corrupted their religious beliefs , just to fill the pews.
In spite of this politically correct appellation it seems that the "youths" actually are documented.
As illegal aliens.
I wonder if the Rev. Lee is here legally too. Sometime when someone doth protests too much....just saying.
The elite think they are above the rule of law and can do whatever they want to do. They have undermined and abused our country and system of government big time, with their illegal alien power games.
