I don’t vote for R’s or D’s. I vote for C’s.
Romney is a liberal.
In fact, I will pick someone and campaign for them in hopes of being part of a viable C party.
Read your tagline.
I don’t compromise my principles. I’m a Christian Conservative. Romney is a liberal.
It was, but I also pinged you because his post was in response to yours. I know you’re a Santorum supporter.
Oops, I didn’t see you had included NV there. The GOP is not carrying NV. Assuming Romney would be the nominee, he would have to get upwards of 300,000 votes in Clark and over 100,000 in Washoe, while Obama would have to get significantly less votes than he got (50,000) in 2008. The Republican Party is heavily fractured in NV and all the different factions will have to unite in full force as they did in 2004 if the GOP is to take NV. At this time, I don’t see that happening. Instead of NV, Romney is playing for NH, which is more suited to him.
None of our options can walk on water, but any of them is better than what we have now.
Romney is not better than Obama. As you say, you cannot bargain with the devil.
Whether you take Screwtape or Apollyon, you still are on the devil’s side.
I don’t buy into that, you can choose to if you wish.
Romney takes a lot of flack and much of it deserved but one thing that is continually ignored, his obamacare was for one state, not the country. I could care less what they do in Taxachusettes as long as they keep it up there. The ‘one’ did it for the whole country.
As far as my tagline, where were our great leaders when the debt ceiling had to be jacked again? Where will they be the next time it comes up? Off playing golf with the ‘one’?
I am thoroughly aware that having to choose the lesser of two evils still results in evil but it will give us more of an opportunity for correction.
I will decide how to vote later and odds are, it will be Romney. Not because I favor his brand of conservatism, because it’s not, but because he’s better than Obama.
When I go change the flags on my father’s and grandfather’s graves, I will NOT have to apologize for pissing off the right to vote that they gave their lives to protect.
You are free however, to do as you wish. Now I will go back to trying to hold my tongue on the bitch and moan/whine and cry, I.E. election threads as much as possible.
I'll keep working on you Tex. I can tell from those words above that you see yourself stuck between a rock and a hard place.
You don't believe Romney's a conservative any more than I do.
And you don't believe in choosing the lesser of two evils.
Pray about it, brother. There has to be a better way, and I believe you believe that.
There is no such thing as a lesser of two evils. Evil is evil period.
I know it is hard for people to believe that many of us who are conservative have a big problem with Rick Santorum. And because it is unthinkable not to support him, we must be misrepreseting ourselves. Nonsense. Rick is a poor candidate, plan and simple. He was built up because people needed someone to believe in.
I support Newt, and that is that. I will not vote for Mr. Romney. To think somehow we will be better off with less evil is something that I can not comprehend. And for those who do not think our moral decay can get worse...then vote for Mitt Romney and see.
LOL, part of the problem is I am just as hard headed as the rest of you. :)
Why, in a time when we could have run a ham sandwich to beat Obama, we end up with the dregs is beyond me.
If you run 7 money-poor conservatives and one well-heeled liberal pretending to be a conservative, then the 7 conservatives are going to knock each other out and leave us with the fake.
In short, the GOP-E counts on us dividing and conquering ourselves. And then we do it. It's maddening.
Still don’t think we were offered a decent candidate.
Would take Palin in a heartbeat, but too many are convinced she is a disruptive force. So am I, I suppose. LOL
I like Palin, but I’ve no doubt the romney pac would have done the same to her.
I think the other candidates did as much damage to themselves as what was inflicted by Romney or the DNC.
No, conservatives let us down. There were too many competing candidates that did not distinguish themselves and provide a clear alternative to Mitt Romney. Rick Perry was a good man and he was vilified on this forum. Every Republican candidate has been vilified in this forum. I am not a RINO. I am a patriot. I will support the Republican nominee against the disaster of a second Obama term.
Politics should be fun AND interesting. A ballot with no one on there but Ron Paul and Mitt Romney IS A CRIME!
Clark like this:
John Kerry John Edwards Democratic 281,767 51.66%
George W. Bush Richard Cheney Republican 255,337 46.82%
Washoe like this:
George W. Bush Richard Cheney Republican 81,545 51.26%
John Kerry John Edwards Democratic 74,841 47.05%
Equals a result like this:
George W. Bush Richard Cheney Republican 418,690 50.47% 5
John Kerry John Edwards Democratic 397,190 47.88% 0
It's Obama's people that said they are playing off the Kerry map, not me.
Angle ran a terrible race in Oct. 2010 and only lost by 41,000, and the outliers (including a "Tea Party" candidate) who won't be on a Nov. 2012 ballot pulled 37,000. Harry can forcibly bus the kitchen help to the polls for himself, but you should read how much Reid has completely soured on Bobo (not the least reason of which is almost assuredly costing Pinky the Majority Leader post this November).
